I'll give it a try. What's the link to it?

And just to make sure we're on the same page, it's okay that I'm using .81 and not .8b right?

It was in my post here but you said it didn't work. I'm not sure about anthing other 0.81. I updated from 0.7x to it.

It could be like Cyan said and that forwarder isn't disabling AHB_PROT.

Hi, I'm very sorry if this has been asked before, but I use Nintendont on my vWii with the official GC controller adapter. I was playing smash bros melee and noticed that when I partially push down a shoulder button, it registers it as a full press. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so it would register as a half press instead of a full, as I am planning on getting Super Mario Sunshine, and the half press is a very important aspect of that game. I saw that on the Pro Controller you can enable the shoulder buttons to act as half presses, but saw nothing on the GC adapter. Also, if I did use the pro controller, would z get mapped somewhere else or be gone altogether? Thank you!

Does Smash Bros even use analog input? I was under the impression it was either pressed or not.

Yep it does. Half press make the shield larger and can trigger the deflection with it. The more you press it the harder and small the shield will become.

Oh, yeah... I just checked my manual. I'll check it on my Wii in a bit and see if it seems like it's doing the same thing. It may be a HID issue, though.

My apologies thought you were referring to something different. Oh wel.

I tried using the USB Loader GX forwarder dol by renaming my apps folder and got the same result. It must have something to do with the way Nintendont loads. You could always install ULGX and boot to it then just put Gamecube games on the drive. The loader supports navigation with a GC controller and looks prettier. :)

Ideally I'd autoboot to Nintendont so that I wouldn't even need to touch my GCN controller. Switching to USB Loader GX would be nice since, unlike the HBC, I can control it from slot 2. Thanks for the advice.

On a more... relevant-to-topic-at-hand note, are there any plans to make it so that you can view games on one drive after seeing the other? What I mean is, if I click view SD, could there be an update that lets me go back to viewing SD without resetting the program? It'd be a nice change. Simply offering a reset button would do the job.

I could be wrong as I don't use any HID devices but I think it only recognizes the first one... meaning you would need a USB hub that the controllers are connected to.

you can only use one hid controller at a time not even with hubs you can ever use 2 ps3 controllers only multiport hid devices allow multiple controllers like the wiiu gc adaper or the ps2 twin adapter and so on, since ps3 controller is directly hid without an adapter you cant use 2 at the same time.

you can do multiplayer with difeferent controllers i usualy use for 4 players- 1CC,1 wiiupro and 2 gc controllers.

Hid devices are limited to one due to code complications.

only multi hid tappers works a simple usb hub wont work since nintendont will still detect 2 hid devices trough it, only single multitap hid devices work like wiiugc adapter and twin ps2 adapter and so on since its a single hid device with multiple ports, usbhubs are not hid devices with multiports they are simply usb devices the ps3 controlllers themselves are the single hid devices.

So I went through the first 40 pages looking for adapters to use gamecube controllers and I only see the magic jack 3-1 adapter. What are you using to connect the cc,wiiupro, and gc controllers to the wiiu?

I feel dumb for having to ask. :-(

I can't seem to get my wiiremote with nunchuck working. Is there anything special I have to do beyond making a nintendont folder (sd://apps/nintendont/boot.dol), put a folder called controllers on the root of my sd (sd://controllers) and launch compressed games from games folder of sd (sd://games)?

NGC gamepads can connect through the built in ports (Wii) or the official/Mayflash USB adapter (vWii). The Wii/Wii U gamepads just connect via bluetooth like they do for other software. I don't know if you can use a USB gamepad and a bluetooth one at the same time, though.

While I'm just figuring out the controller situation myself. I can say that the wiimote nunchuck works for me without a controller file as long as I don't have any other controllers plugged in
If I have a ps3 controller plugged in also the Wii remote won't work.

Can you give me a link to the gc adapter your talking about or is it the 3 in 1 adapter? Your saying the wiiu gamepad is suspose to work? I must have over looked that on the 1st post, I got the impression that Bluetooth didn't work unless it also had the USB cord plugged in.

No, not the gamepad, the Pro controller. There is a whole section on controllers in the OP here. The only limitation it doesn't mention is one HID device.

Thank you this was the reassurance I needed. I realize that OPs post is extensive but I couldn't figure out what I needed to hook them up seeing as there are several adapters mentioned in earlier posts that look like they would work but don't when ppl tried them. (0-o) <3
I also use the official Nintendo USB GameCube adapter and it works great.
