Which files have you been editing? Have you been taking them from the dt/ls from the newest update when you can? I'd think that since the updates happened the original files of the game might not be compatible anymore. Diddy having that weird grab glitch a while back would make me think they were making some changes to how grabs work.

that's a good point. Does the dtls.py work on the 1.1.4 dt?

I keep getting this error when trying to unpack 1.1.4 dt and ls. Any help would be great.

P.S. Does anyone want to see the texture hacks i've made?

DTLS doesn't support updates as far as i know.
(Also, i would love to see those textures. just wondering, is your game european or american?)

DTLS.py does in fact work on 1.1.4 files. You have to use @shinyquagsire23's version, and where ever it asked for a folder location ex "/tmp" make it "./tmp" There should be two instances of this occurrence(I think). You must also make a tmp folder in the same location as dtls.py along with another folder(I forget what the name was, but it should be obvious)

I had to edit the py file to just use a file named resource, also had to take a text file (or any file) and rename it resource.bin.

I'd love to, PM me!

Does anyone have a link to a guide on how to decrypt cia updates? I just need that so that I can rebuild it with the SaltySD code.bin that I've got now and get my modified update cia.

Use decrypt9 homebrew on sysnand 9.2=< to decrypt the update cia

Did that already and got a bunch of stuff, including xorpads. I also have the app files from my Nintendo 3DS folder for the 1.14 update.
Use the deep cia decryption on the cia (put in D9Game folder) and then use the command I posted a few pages back. If you need more help look for @Asia81's tutorial on decrypting updates.

I'm pretty sure I did fully decrypt it actually because I've been mucking with it for a while. Pretty new to all of this, but I've got my edited code.bin, an exheader, an exefs and a romfs file which I've somehow managed to dump. I think that all I need to do now is inject the new code.bin into the update's dt (if anyone has the dtls.py command for that, that'd be swell) and then rebuild the cia (though I don't know which tool to do that with).

This thread is massive and I've gone through the whole thing, so I think I'm close, but yeah, I think that's where I'm at. Hopefully a nice tutorial comes out soon for all of this.

I decrypted the 1.1.4 update CIA and built the ROMFS/EXEFS, and I extracted the update folders/files from the ROMFS and merged them with the data extracted from the ROMFS of the full game. But when I run DTLS, it starts normally and extracts everything up until Zelda's moveset data, and then gives me an error and stops working. What do I do?

Are you using @shinyquagsire23's version?
