YEaaaah...... Not gonna happen as i lost the receipt and threw away the packaging...

you don't need the packaging nor the receipt. most SD cards have their serial number written really small on the back. just contact sandisk and see what they can do for you. you have nothing else to lose at this point.

I remember when my microsd adapter broke. My microsd is fine but I lost everything on it. I started making backups from that day on. Thanks for the reminder, I've gotten a lot done this past week!

If the 3DS can still read from it, then most of your content is probably still salvagable. Access it by any means (I'd suggest trying to mount it on Linux, and see if that works...no guarantees) and back it up. Format and then restore your backup.

It's too late. i already formatted it. I just finished installing cfw on it and am currently installing all my cia's. (Altough it's slow as fuck)

Backup often peeps!! SD cards are fickle buggers at the best of times, and have a limited life anyway, shortened considerably when you're constantly to-ing and fro-ing with your 3DS one.... Not letting your 3DS fully shut down is also a good way of corrupting your card - yeah I've done that too!

OP: the EaseUS program you're using is pretty good, you should recover most (maybe all) your data, though your folders might end up a bit jumbled up. Alternatively use ZAR, which I prefer (though they do much the same thing really)

I agree. Just make a raw image of the card so you have a backup. Acronis true image will do the trick

I just want to add to the discussion, what most folks don't realize, is that the card reader is typically the knife that kills an SD card, if it wasn't a scam card to begin with. Dirty contacts in the card reader or a USB port that has not been cleaned regularly is a very common cause of corrupting a memory card. The worst part is, the usual actions one may take is actually not what they are supposed to do, and they unknowingly kill a card.

One example is, if you plug in a card reader to a computer, and you see gibberish and large GB files and folder names like in OP's screenshot, at that point the card is not dead. It just cannot be read properly. But the moment someone does a scandisk or error checking like the tools in windows, that's what kills the card as Windows will attempt to fix it, but it can't fix what it can't read, therefore ruining the sectors.

These experiences is what caused my brother and I to buy not-so-cheap card readers from a reputable manufacturer, and regular care of this card reader has kept me error free for quite some time. I know it's too late OP, but I would look into your card reader if I were you. Too many times I've been burned by those 4 in 1's, getting a card reader dedicated to SD is always the preferred choice.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.

What matters now is that he's doing alright.
