It allows you to play a game that normally requires a higher firmware than what you are currently on. It would allow you to play Pokémon Shuffle which requires 9.5 to play on 9.2 or lower.Ok, I've been out of the 3ds loop for a bit....what is firmlaunch?
Ok, how does it work?It allows you to play a game that normally requires a higher firmware than what you are currently on. It would allow you to play Pokémon Shuffle which requires 9.5 to play on 9.2 or lower.
Basically on your computer you use the companion app to download the firmware file for the higher firmware which then gets loaded by Pasta. As far as the 3DS is concerned you are using either a system 9.5 or 9.6. At which point you can't use any exploits until you shut the 3DS off.Ok, how does it work?
Rxpasta isn't a terribly creative name. I doubt that you were the only person to think of itBasically on your computer you use the companion app to download the firmware file for the higher firmware which then gets loaded by Pasta. EDIT: Quick question for the Pasta Team. I saw on another site that rxPasta has been released and can be downloaded on Mega. I assume it not to be true as it would have posted here. Just want official confirmation. I was the one to call it rxPasta so I find it funny that they are using my name if this is unofficial.
I still want to know if this rxPasta I saw is official or not.Rxpasta isn't a terribly creative name. I doubt that you were the only person to think of it

This name is ever thought about. However it is not chosen.I still want to know if this rxPasta I saw is official or not.
RXTOOLS -WITH PASTA- isn't released yet, but the source is on github so if you want to try it out, just compile it. The only change you'll see is the theme, n3ds support isn't there...Basically on your computer you use the companion app to download the firmware file for the higher firmware which then gets loaded by Pasta. The system menu will not show anything other than you current firmware version.Hey guys!
just wondering how can i know if the firmlaunch is working? i tried going to the settings, and cant fine the 9.5fw
and if i get it working, can i play xenoblade in the cart or do i have to install a CIA version of it?
im currently on 9.0.0-20E
thanks guys
The system menu will not show anything other than you current firmware version.
Yes you will be able to play both Retail Carts and CIA games
You know firmlaunch is working when you are not asked to update your 3DS when launching Xenoblade and it will load properly.
Make sure that the firm.bin for your 3DS is in the Pasta folder inside the 3ds folder and firmlaunch is set to on in the Pasta settings.
