So I've been playing Persona 2: Innocent Sin on Wiistation through my Wii U using a forwarder so I can use my gamepad as the controller and I've been absolutely loving it and not experiencing many issues at all. Until today that is... I booted up and loaded into the game and upon selecting continue, it seems to have not saved about 6 hours of playtime in which I had saved at least 10 times if not much more. Luckily I hadn't done too much that I can't speed back through (probably in less time now) but it is still just annoying and a little bit scary for the prospects of finishing the game. Has anyone else experienced this from Wiistation on the vWii before? Anyone manage to solve this or have some sort of stopgap measure? I think I'll start using the emulator's save states in addition to the in game saving just to be super safe but I don't know if those would have been effected too as I haven't been using them so they're blank regardless. Thanks y'all.

Edit: I also wanted to know, it says it's automatically saving my save state whenever I access the emulator controls menu and I have the auto save option enabled. Do these not work?

update: back home from work and I've ended up installing tiramisu and retroarch. kinda inconvenient cause I use aroma but luckily there's a homebrew app which just switches between them which basically negates the convenience drop. hopefully that'll be more stable in terms of save files not just yeeting themselves. also retroarch allows me to make a hotkey to save a save state so that's another cool thing. that effort is definitely worth not losing 6 hours again lol. pray for me as I redo this gameplay lol.
