    Homebrew Update 11.5 and Homebrew

Yeah, but after doing so, the "backup" or the renamed file doesn't show up on powersave after re-opening it hence not allowing me to restore said file back into the game.

    Homebrew Update 11.5 and Homebrew

I didn't but I did just try it right now, and still no luck. I'm using powersaves with it, and it won't allow me to restore the payload back into OOT because after I rename my backup OOT save with the payload bin file, powersaves doesn't seem to save it even though it's in the folder so it just...

    Homebrew Update 11.5 and Homebrew

Sorry if it's already been mentioned and I missed it. So does OOT3D/Powersaves still work? Because I'm currently trying to do that, but there are no matching payloads for 11.5 for oothax. Downloading a ropbin payload according to my system doesn't seem to work either. I'm on N3DS. Apologies if...

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

That is correct. When I try to load the system_backup on the editor I'm using, only the one named 'system' is available to use. I assume by renaming it, it will work, didn't think of it. Thanks for the quick response!

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

Apologies for the question as I am still new to this whole thing. How do I exactly restore a save file using the system_backup that it creates when I export extdata?

ROM Hack APM MHX/MHGen Save Editor

Disregard my last post, I was able to fix it, unfortunately my issues aren't over. Using JK Save Manager, I'm supposed to go Extra Data Options>Export ExtData>New>Name the file>Transfer SD Card to PC>Load file from Save Editor correct? However, there are no files for me to load with the...

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

Okay for some odd reason, I tried putting the files on the root of the SD rather than the 3ds folder and I am now able to see and access the manager. Would it be safe to continue doing so? Anything I put in the folder just doesn't get saved, but it apparently works when I just put it on the...

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

I believe that's what I have and as soon as I remove the SD card to transfer it to my 3DS, I still can't see JKSM. I only see the original files that the homebrew starter kit gave me. Whenever I insert my SD card back to my PC, the JKSM folders/files are completely gone. The files just pretty...

ROM Hack APM MHX/MHGen Save Editor

I was able to get through the homebrew menu. My problem is that I do not see the JK save manager on the list. Am I supposed to put the manager on the root of the SD or within the '3ds' folder? Because the guide says root and I do not see the manager on the menu.

So I followed this https://gbatemp.net/threads/apm-mhx-mhgen-save-editor.434421/page-13#post-6534055 ...and I was able to get to the homebrew menu yet I cannot see JK save manager on the list. I'm on 11.0.0-33U and I tried putting that 3ds folder within the '3ds' folder that's already in my SD...

ROM Hack APM MHX/MHGen Save Editor

I apologize for the noob question as this has probably been asked numerous times. I've tried looking for similar threads with questions like mine but I haven't found much, maybe I'm just blind and you can direct me to the appropriate threads. Anyways, for me to use this, I need access to...

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
