Thanks to the feedback on my previous topic, specifically from noobwarrior007 about the region free disc channel on 4.0U, I have created an updated hacks.ini for preloader 0.29.

Note: Be sure to enable both "Region free Wii games" and "Force Disc Region" for everything to work properly.

Update (4/26): Added hacks for 4.0E, unable to test due to no PAL Wii, someone please report if these work.

The updated hacks.ini can also be found on Wiibrew.org.

I have tested it on a 4.0U Wii with cIOSCORP and its loading PAL and NTSC copies from the disc channel.

Credits go to tona and QLeap for Any Region Changer patches which these are based on.

I have the same questions.

So far I installed preloader (after having successfully updated to 4.0E following the instructions from the 'Ultimate System Menu 4.0 Guide' from here) but still without any hacks as I am not sure whether they can be removed/changed without having to reinstall everything.
It would be great if I could get back some of the features Starfall provided with 3.2E (i.e. health warning skip, region free channels and no update check on game discs).

So these hacks all work for PAL as well? And do I understand this right, if I want to change hacks I just place another hacks.ini on SD card and the old settings will be automatically overwritten?

Sorry for asking but I haven't found a 'preloader for dummies' thread yet... ;-)

Good to know, thank you for the information.

Are these ini-files save that can be found when following the Wiibrew.org link from first post?
In that case I would give the PAL ini-file a try.

Also of importance here is the Force Disc Region hack which gets Monster Hunter G and the Tri demo working. (softmodded 4.0U)

    You control a kitten. You fall out the window and have to make your way back home. Solve some light puzzles, do cat things like knock stuff over and steal things, trip people up when theyre walking, pounce on birds, complete goals/tasks etc. in the process of getting back to your home.
