Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary stream for June 16
Square Enix has announced a stream centered around Final Fantasy VII to celebrate its 25th anniversary. According to longtime Final Fantasy character designer Tetsuya Nomura, the presentation will be "short and sweet" at only ten minutes, but he promises a lot of information has been packed in.
There's no word on what will be included, but there are a few things happening around Final Fantasy VII right now. Part 1 of Final Fantasy VII Remake released over two years ago now and there still hasn't been any official mention of Part 2 anywhere. Last November, Square released Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, a mobile free-to-play battle royale, so we may see an update on that. Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, a free-to-play retelling of the events of the entire Final Fantasy VII canon (including the original game, the movie Advent Children, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, and Dirge of Cerberus), is still expected to release in 2022, so we'll likely get an update on that as well.
The presentation will air June 16th at 15:00 PDT. You can watch it at this YouTube link or click the video above.
