I remember this crappy movie. Very mediocre steath game with poorly written and cliched to no end 'plot'. It could a great opportunity to fix it, but something tells they don't have the talent or will to do so, so it'll be all the same shit, since the actual sequel was just abysmally bad, and they're afraid of anything new by now.

Yay yet another old game for people to play again on a next gen console. Fuck man what does it take to come up with a new idea for once SONY!!!!

Game industry is completely fucked right now if you ask me. Lets spend MILLIONS on R&D for a new console and just rehash all the old games for it!! Goes for both MS and Sony before someone calls me a fanboy! New COD:MW2 is a prime example, they are even reusing names form the old games cos they cant think of anything new.

Also people who buy the "Firefly" edition should be lined up against a wall and shot.

Got a Playstation for the first time, played the first and second games and, honestly, there are WAY more gameplay than the game even sells. Both games take a heavy inspiration out of Resident Evil 4, the second from Metal Gear. Although the story might not be great, the gameplay is superb (I had to give a second chance to notice).

The whole "game is a movie" schtick is pathetic. Especially when games like Metal Gear and Death Stranding exist (games I also love!)

TLOU2 has the best third person gameplay in any game ever, I'm super excited to replay the first with these improvements. Graphics look great. I think a lot of people forget how dated TLOU1 is. It's almost a decade old.

As an avid fan of the Part 1 and 2, I personally don’t see the need for this remake. The graphics in the remastered version are great considering the age and I still play the multiplayer from time to time.

I would really rather have Naughty Dog make multiplayer for Part 2 as it was seemingly promised.

Remake so.. better graphics? Don't see anything wrong with the PS3/PS4 versions.

Great for PC gamers though. :)

INB4:

- homophobes going wild.

- "No politics [sexuality or gender behavior that makes me uncomfortable] in my videogames please"

- "Abby looks like a man"

- "Joel was such a great character, how could they do this?"
This isn't Reddit or Resetera so keep that "stuff" to yourself.

Why Sony? didn't you JUST remaster this recently for the PS4? we don't need a re-release just a generation later, especially seeing that the next gen consoles still feel like a soft-launch seeing that they're about as common as a unicorn in the wild. If you have to remaster something, why don't you go way back and tackle something that could desperately use a remake/remastering? you're getting just as bad as Rockstar and Nintendo (though the Wii U thing is understandable seeing that it sold poorly) at this point.

Depends how much of a remake this is, I guess. If they overhaul the gameplay and encounters to take advantage of the improvements part 2 introduced then it could make the original pale in comparison.
