How do I fix the sound problems on PCSX Rearmed? Ive tried 3 games so far and all of them have stuttering, crackling audio. The voices sound is the worst though, it sounds like they speak in slow motion. Ive already tried changing the latence, putting it up to 120 helped a bit but not much. Using retroarch on a HAC-001 Switch.

Use overclocking, your games are just probably not fullspeed, also turn of dithering.

Hi.

I am using Atmosphere 0.18.1 on my hacked switch, with the firmware 11.0.1
I tried to install retroarch on my switch, but whatever version I tried I have the same problem :

When launching Retroarch, the file retroarch.cfg is created. Then I can't use the joycons or joypad. I only can use the touch screen. But I only can up or down. So I can't access to settings.
I can launch the games. It works but I can't play because joypad doesn't work.

Is that the file retroarch.cfg who doesn't work? Do you have an issue?
Thanks a lot.

Thomas.

Do you have the appropriate Atmosphere sigpatches for 11.0.1? They aren't included when you download Atmosphere.

OK so RetroArch v1.9.2 was released yesterday... is it just me or does it seem like with every new release it comes with less and less cores?

I downloaded from the official site and I can't neither find the PPSSPP nor the Flycast cores on the cores folder.
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I think at some point RetroArch came with a 3DO, WonderSwan and Open BOR core which seem to have been cut out as well from the official release?

If you don't know what you are talking about, then just don't suggest useless things. Sigpatches have NOTHING to do with RA. Its funny to see ppl here and there suggesting to update sigpatches no matter what problem other users have. Sigpatches are only for installing unsigned/pirated NSP stuff. They have nothing to do with homebrew.

Get the latest stable release of RA and start from scratch. If your joycons still won't work, you could try another controller (with mission control e.g.). Are your joycons original?

I made a mistake since you know everything there is to know about everything all you had to do was explain it without being a dick but you couldn't handle it I guess. I'll make sure this is the last interaction I have with you thankfully there's an ignore button because there was no rudeness until you showed up.

Since a lot of people pirate stuff around here, unfortunately their NSP gateway is often a pirated game. So in the end, recommending updated sigpatches does fix some people's problems, lol.

As for @Darkpanta you might just have to repair your joycons before starting retroarch.

There's also a new version of retroarch out now. You could back up your saves, delete everything else, and start fresh.

I tried to install latest RA stable, but I have a black screen when I launch it.
My joycons are originals. I had to reset my switch one month ago. Before that, retroarch worked on my switch on firmware 11.0.1 and no problem with joycons.
I can't use another pad too, my Nintendo switch pro isn't found by RA

Sorry, I meant "re-pair" the joycons.

Black screen though... What's going on with your setup??

Are you doing clean copies to install or are you just overwriting everything?

Are you getting it from https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.9.2/nintendo/switch/libnx/RetroArch.7z ?

I will try this one. After the black screen I have an error code from Atmosphere and the switch starts again.
I'm at work I will try your link and I'll tell you. Thanks.

My English isn't perfect (I am French) can you explain me what does start from scratch means?

Nothing working. I have an idea I d like to try something. Can someone give me his retroarch.cfg file configured for gamepad at launch? It should work. If someone can give me that... Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a way to get older versions (pre 1.8) of RA already built for the switch? Their buildbot only has recent versions.

The mame cores have had issues since 1.8 (I believe). They load slower and cheats.dat don't work anymore. Rather than wait for a fix that I doubt will ever come, I'd rather just try and go back to when it was working fine.

I've uploaded official Switch builds (from 1.7.5 to 1.7.8) here, if it can help

That worked! Thank you so much. I just took the mame2003 and 2003+ cores from the 1.7.8 build and replaced the ones I had from the 1.9.2 build and that did the trick.

ROMs open up much faster and cheats work again.

Not sure how many people care about this, but I wonder if this should be posted anywhere for people to see.

It should. @ShadowOne333 :P

Also @m4xw might be able to tell why those cores are broken in the newer releases.
