Hi all. Trying to get my head around updating to 10.1.0.

Currently on sysfw10.0.4, running SXOS 3.0.4.

10.1.0 update is pending installation on OFW.

Would this work?

1. Boot to CFW
2. Extract pending update from Sysnand using 'biggestdump' app (appears to work fine - it creates the .NCA files in sdmc:/update)
3. Use Choidujoirnx to install 10.1.0 to emunand.
4. Boot to OFW
5. Update to 10.1.0

I think my main concern is whether Choi will b0rk my emunand.

TIA.

I have also been worried about this but have been reassured by reliable members here and also on the TX forum that using Choi in emunand is safe but only use it in emunand

First off thanks to @ModderFokker619 for yet another perfect SX lite install. :) I'm also curious about this. What is the preferred method of updating firmware on emunand with SX Core/Lite installed? It seems with SX OS 3.0.4 Choi is now an option again if on emunand?

On my normal switch I get firmware on a website download it and manually move it to my SD card. Then I would use Choi to install. It seems there may be a way to update emunand firmware without manually downloading from my PC first? I am on 10.0.4, but looking to update up to 10.1.0. So once again, what is the preferred method of updating firmware on SX Core/Lite emunand?

Tried my best to pretin the V2 while i wait for my v2 switch. Hope i didn’t broke it though. I had to redo the SP1 because I’m stupid. I bridges both pads so I had to use some solder wick to redo them. I honestly thought it melted. Did I do alright?

The cursed pictures give me life :rofl2:. Time goes on nothing changes, no matter the system, hardware mod=cursed pictures.

its cheap for what it does and its one of the best in the market. mine cost me £40 than antoher £8 for a laptop power supply for it

Where did you grab yours from? I've been meaning to get one for a while, but never got around to it, only UK suppliers seem to be random ebay shops.

I can confirm choi works on emunad. Just make sure prevent fuse burning and system initialize are disabled or it will brick apparently.

Choi worked for me, but I had to find a download of the 10.1.0 NCAs.
I'd hoped that i'd be able to update OFW, and extract the update while booted into emunand, but it looks as though biggestdump only sees emunand. Makes sense now I think about it.

Still, managed to get CFW and OFW up to 10.1.0 safely. :D
