I dont see the reason to. Rei is accomplished at reverse engineering. Breaking down SX OS's doors and scooping out the closed source evil inside for analysis, just means a proper FOSS solution will appear if you wait long enough. I am a patient man. I can wait, not that I need an XCI loader in the first place.
ReiNX with sigpatches scratches any itch I could possibly have.

It will be a good thing to crack it for everyone. Just because it can be done. And learn how they did things and beat everyone to loading XCIs
I just don't get how people can be dead against it " evil tx" one minute then "it's brilliant if its cracked" the next.

1) For some people, the thought of having to pay money is an anathema. This is the source of at least some of your double-standard.
2) For others, anything that is closed source is an anathema. (I am more in this group.) I am not really against closed source software, just I wont use it. When you throw in that TX lifted FOSS stuff without attribution, and violated the license (irony, yes. No need to go there) I really have no sympathy for when their work gets lifted without attribution, and their license gets violated.
3) Some people just like to troll. 'Nuff said.
Nobody is against the product as a whole but the means how they do things. Also nobody is saying it is brilliant seeing most of the features come from other developers that do it freely.
I strongly disagree, if you go back to before anyone knew they took code from other projects you will clearly see the same level of hate was still there.
I'm saying its brilliant, the best RCM jig, the excellent dongle and the easy to use SX os, how simpler can it be, just to cut and paste and run a XCI file, no messing about with layeredFS etc.
I've had one for a month and no complaints, i'd recommend one but might be wise now to wait and see how ReiNX and Atmos compare when their more complete.

I believe them to be Rei's and are still work in progress (missing xci support).
If they were from TX then the Rommenu should be working out of the box with said sig patches no?
