It has been quiet for just over a week since the last been news from Team-Xecuter, but now they are back with nice new announcement for their upcoming SX Family of products, check it out below, it includes a new website, with pictures, etc.

We are proud to introduce our Xecuter SX dedicated 'mini' site. You can find it HERE.

This site is not meant to replace our Xecuter portal, but exists for the convenience of (future) SX (OS) users. On the mini-site you can find high resolution pictures of the SX Pro, screenshots of SX OS and our brand-new game selection menu and a basic usage guide.

The SX OS download is not available yet. It will be once we deliver the first licenses to our resellers on June 15th.

• Activation of SX OS can be done through SX OS itself if you have WiFi configured on your Nintendo Switch.
• If you don't have WiFi configured you will be able to retrieve your SX OS License through our website.
• If you purchased SX OS only you will receive a "redeem code" that you need to enter (not needed for SX Pro users).

Finally, we'd like to address some more questions that we've seen a lot.

• Q: Will Switch data such as savegames and updates be shared between the OFW and SX OS? Or are both systems separated?
  A: Yes, SX OS and the original Switch OS share savegames and update data.

• Q: Does SX OS support trimmed XCI files or do they need to remain unaltered?
  A: Yes, an app like https://github.com/Destiny1984/XCI-Cutter is supported.

• Q: Is it possible to play games from a External Harddrive?
  Does SX allow us to use an external disk using the docking station or USB-C port?
  A: This is a possibility in the future, we've added it to our to do list. (thanks to all users for making it already a few pages long

• Q: Can we expect cheat codes some day?
  A: Cheats has always been a priority for our us. And we've already started looking into it.
  It takes a while to make a decent and usable cheat system, your patience will be rewarded!

• Q: There has been a wave of bans happening lately. Does that confirm we won't be able to play online with SX OS?
  A: There have indeed been a number of isolated ban incidents happening lately among some homebrew developers. The exact cause of these bans is not known as of yet.
  We are not aware of any bans due to SX OS usage. But be cautious and use online functionality at your own risk!

It's terrible, and can be cracked incredibly easily. The backend is completely useless unless "signing it" does something useful.
It just rearranges some stuff, that's all.

Due to how modifiable this is, I'd assume they'd give bans for their product to any console they can detect...

You should wait till it's released, it's too early to draw conclusions.

But right now, stuff looks "funny"... to say the least.

Expected them to use at least the console-specific cert, I can't imagine they just read the serial from the prodinfo partition lol

Anyway they can always patch the hwid implementation (and any potential server-side stuff) , i'd rather wait till we get binaries and patch those checks in there (including any funky outgoing connections), or just RE it and re-implement the backup loader (tho I already have some ideas how we could go about it in atmosphere)

It looks like it creates a actual certificate signing request, so unless you have their private key (of the CA), I don't know what u go so crazy about.

I mean this looks rushed and I don't know details, but you can't do shit without patching the signature check in the binary or bruteing their private key.

Actually u pass a license code and a CSR (certificate sign request, thats probably bound to your console), so this is somewhat nicely done.

validate the file server side on one php script, modify the data, then go to another php script that signs it
all you really have to do is call that specific script and skip the validation process script and you're good
actually, now that I think about it I don't think there would be much validation needed, you could probably just provide it as is

Sorry, don't want to sound like a dick, just making things a bit clear.

At this point, we can only speculate, but I think just patching it in the binary is probably the easiest way.

(or they did it like me back in the days and actually partly download the payload from online, but I doubt. You could work around that as well)

This is what I'm doing to. I did this with Gateway as well. I like buying the commercial ones first, because they usually come out right away with more features, then when the free ones mature I switch to that. Minimal waiting, around 50 bucks, cool hardware relics when they become outdated.

Micro USB is FAR more common than USB-C, until the Switch I never had anything with USB-C my self... Also my father and my girlfriend samsung J7 and J5 from 2017 also have no USB-C...

But I already have a few micro USB cables and I think most ppl will have more micro-USB cables than a USB-C to USB-A...

absolutely. The switch is the only ubc-c device we have. I have tons of micro usb cables so I'm glad they went that route.

I'm planning to go that route too.. I live in the Middle East and any shipment would take at the very least 3 weeks.. OS is instant, and I do have my phone on me pretty much always so sending the payload wouldn't be an issue.. Now if they send the license separately (on release day) for those who bought the dongle I would go for the dongle.. But that doesn't seem likely.

Shame they previously said the dongles would arrive to users by the 15th. Now they will only be with the resellers at that date.
And no new information or video demos. Pretty disappointing

If you've read all their previous statements properly, they never actually claimed that the users would recdive it on the 15th. They just said that they will ship on the 15th and earlier for early birds.

Which means they will start shipping to the resellers on june 15th and a bit before that for the early birds.

No, it refers to hacking anything where apps are completely sandboxed and aren't allowed to interact with each other (outside of fetching)

... So I'm not sure if it actually applies for the Switch, but it's not Apple-only
