Can you stop bugging the poor lad?@SciresM: Can you please confirm, that it does no matter to be on 4.1.0 or 5.0.2 if we want to use a softwarehack?
If he hasnt disabled notifications yet...damn SciresM, do that for your own good ><I guess by now SciresM has completely disabled notifications in the forum's preferences.
It's either that or going crazy with all the lazy people that refuse to read and asks the same thing for the millionth time.

Is it me or are this new breed of millennials too lazy to read, research and do a little leg work? My first option is always to dig around for info and THEN analyse that.
It shouldn't really matter in the end, we have access to the boot loader which is a major hardware flaw. However as many have stated before me, including SciresM himself, lower firmware is always better.
hey, I'm a Generation Z one and I always do the research before asking somewhere!I think you mean Gen Z.
People figured out the usb cable was needed to send stuff to the switch via RCM because there's no other reason to buy a USB c to USB a cable. The problem was triggering RCM. Initially minor hardmod was referred to as inconvenient which people took more harshly than it implied. It's kinda true since there are easier ways of shorting pin 10 without bending it.hey, I'm a Generation Z one and I always do the research before asking somewhere!
But seriously, these "Generations" are just stupid and mostly arbitrarily. If you have 24 minutes to spare, I found this quite interesting to watch:
I think a problem is that a lot of things are still quite vague. This leads to persons thinking that there's somewhere more to it, but at the moment there isn't. E.g. when they said a simple hardmod a lot of people where asking, as if they missed something somewhere, because the information given could have been a summary and there is actually already more released. Or people are just to lazy to do the research…
All progress for atmosphere can be found on its github page which is in the first post but only useful for developers. The 3DS guide was useful because the exploits were out. This scene is different because were still waiting for the CFW to come outThis could all be helped somewhat by a sticky post at the top outlining current progress. The 3ds guide was/is amazing at simplifying the current state of affairs.
I know trust me I'm following the commits and descriptions daily!People figured out the usb cable was needed to send stuff to the switch via RCM because there's no other reason to buy a USB c to USB a cable.
