looks quite similar to the wii u hb appstoreThat looks awefull! No really.
Idea is good though, but the look and feel is just not right.
Make it look more like a real Appstore. You are using a cms, so downloading an Appstore skin shoulf be easy. If you need help with compiling a whole new One let me know happy to help!
Made by the same personlooks quite similar to the wii u hb appstore
maybe because its an edited version of the wii u appstore just forgotten by mistakeNot sure if its been mentioned, but why is the copyright for 2016? (bottom of page)
Well first, you made this thread 1st Jan 2018. And the switch was released in 2017. Homebrew started appearing late 2017. Yet, you had a site that went live in 2016.It's when the site went live
Should probably get updated then (if you can)it sounds bizarre true .. but we had the discussion in our WiiU IRC channel around the time ppl were anticipating the console.. we bought the domain then and placed it on hold until it was required... so yes thats that
If you are able to change it, then maybe you should.if i can ?
Amazing! this is fantastic!!!!I've started work on the console-side companion to the website: https://github.com/vgmoose/appstorenx
It's very basic right now, but I'm seeking feedback on what works (and doesn't work) with the new library for installing files. I have an experimental .nro available here-- but it's not ready for the average user.
I've had pending changes (for probably too long) to the Wii U's homebrew app store, including important contributions by @rw-r-r_0644 to handle multiple folders of files, that have now made their way into the library behind this pre-release. I hope to backport these changes into the Wii U version of the app so that it can also benefit from being able to install different types of homebrews (like retroarch cores, plugins, haxchi files, etc).
If developers want to chime in, after ironing out some stability bugs in the http downloading code, I want to get to work on implementing these GUI design mockups. (currently the interface looks like this...). As usual I'm trying to do this work in the open, so feel free to contribute!~~
Thanks for trying it out! Were you able to run anything that downloaded?ok, I'm trying appstore, I comment the errors I'm finding:
When you install an application that you already had installed, it produces code error, but it installs the duplicate app equally.
When leaving the appstore with the button B always gives code error.
After installing an app gives code error, but the app appears installed when re-launching hbl.
I will erase everything I have in the microSD and start again with the tests to locate new errors, but it is a great application to be a start, congratulations!
Thanks for trying it out! Were you able to run anything that downloaded?
Before uploading I was able to download many apps (spacenx, pusha, vba-next, mame, hcl) and run them (without error codes). I had to return to HBL using the home button to be able to run them.
I should also say every time I tried to download hbmenu it would always crash and say installed without actually installing it. I am starting to wonder if this has something to do with the app being pre-installed outside of the app store, but FAT32 doesn't track file permissions or anything so I'm not sure why this would be.
EDIT: also hbmenu is unique in that it attempts to install directly to the root of the SD card, but in my tests in other folders and on the PC, this didn't seem to affect the results.
I'll have to either fix or remove that B-crash >_>1st start after I copied it with FTPD to the microSD:
No games showed up, crashed when I pressed "B"
2nd start:
Still no repos. Hmm maybe ftpd didn't copy the json file properly?
Cool! I wish I understood the crashes better. For example, I wasn't able to get either of the libtransistor/libnx-examples at all, but other apps I was able to reliably get.Yes, I have managed to execute what I downloaded correctly.
With home button I can exit without problems.
Everything worked fine, except the fruit'Y app, which did not work.
I have had the same problems you mentioned with HBL 2.0
