There is no way to know if a person want to buy the box like in Amazon or any retail stores.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say. Do you mean there is no way to check the serial before buying a switch?

That's true for amazon, but at least in my country you can check the box before buying in retail stores.

Yeah, that's what I am saying. In the store, perhaps, but order like online.. Impossible.

LOL! Yeah, right. Return it after I see the box then get another one and found it out that it is not what I want and return it again ? Nonsense. :)

Well unless you have a crystal ball then how do you expect to get a 3.0.0 or under console via an online store? Come on use your brain.

Firmware: 1.0.0
System Color: Neon

I bought it thinking it was an European unit because the plugs there are similar to the ones in my country. Ended up with a UK charger instead and had to order an adapter. :/

I might be getting a second Switch this weekend. Any tips on how to make sure I get the right one with a low firmware version?
Check the serial number.
You can find it in a cut portion of the box below the front cover I believe.
The safe serial numbers should be located in the OP.
