It's not so much a Pain if you already completed the Game Since it gets boring after a few times. As long as the Trainer and your codes get the Patch fix sooner or later it's all good. At less it's not a Permanent block to the Trainer not begin usable anymore. I'll update mine after the last DLC comes out this holiday.

Playing legit is fine if you like your weapons breaking every few mins like some people I know who don't want infinite Durability and Infinite Amiibo Usage. If dlc pack 2 don't live up to the Hype I'll be removing the game from my wii system after the holidays.

I actually tried to load the previous patch using the installer homebrew app but the game won't run at all tells me the game needs to be updated. I think there some other file that gets written to on the system that tells it patches that have been installed.

Just remove all Updates from Wii U systems in Settings then if you have WiiU USB Helper download update v97 is the current working one before the latest v112 update. Copy it over to sd card then run wupinstaller and Bam game should now work with trainer again. v97 is the update i have and it is fully working. I'm waiting until after the holidays to update when last dlc is released Since i see no Reason to update any further when it will only break the trainer. plus after the holidays is probably when the Trainer and JGecko Codes will be updated for the last time before no more codes will be created.

That doesn't work. It still demands an update to v112 if v112 has ever been installed. I think @Ryu X nailed it when he said it was tracking the latest version somewhere else.

Have you Tried it yourself if not you don't know if it works so just don't guess it will not work. Removing all the update files then reinstall Update v97 Should correct the issue. If it is Still Demanding you install the v112 after removing all Current Updates from you Wii U System Settings then anyone having that problem like @Ryu X has there Auto Update Block and DNS Setting Wrong. The only other solution would be to Completely Delete the Game, Save,DLC and Updates then Reinstall like first time you did @ the Beginning. The Wii Can't Track the Update on the Game itself unless your Auto Block is not Really blocking Updates on the Internet through the Wii it's not Possible.

How can I get the v97 now? When using the tik downloader it only has the v112 available.

Do you download games with WiiU USB Helper. If so then it still has all Versions from v33-v112 Available to download. Highlight the game, go over to Updates click select all then uncheck all but V97 then click download. Done and now you have V97 Update witch is still working with Trainer if you DO NOT UPDATE YET.

Yes, I have. Multiple times in case something went wrong. I even uninstalled the base game and DLC, too, and installed each one.

The thought has occurred to me. I haven't tested it yet since savegame backups don't seem to be as straightforward on WiiU as they are with JKSM on the 3DS, and I'm pretty far.

Bingo, you nailed it. I had the thought of trying to fire up the game on another profile, and wouldn't you know, it came right up. So it looks like the savegames are what block downgrading. You should be okay to go ahead if you really aren't worried about starting over. Me, I'll have to wait for skoolzout1 to get the time to update his codes - I ain't throwing away 84 shrines and 100-and-something seeds.

Hmm I just tried switching users and it still comes up with the update message.

I was wondering if installing the other region version might sort it.

I agree. It gets very annoying in the eyes of the trainer developers. If I were the developer, I would only update the trainer on major updates, such as DLC updates. And tell people if they want to use the trainer, do not update beyond a specific update version.

Because most BOTW updates are minor bug fixes, and little things like that. The DLC updates are the major updates that add new things to the game.

It means it's not worth it to me to do it now. I have enough in my PC backlog to hold me off until whenever it happens. If I had to start over from scratch now, I'd end up not playing it until DLC2 comes out anyway.

I still need to test if the VF durability codes still work, though. Those are the only ones I ever used, anyway.

Deleted EU version and DLC and update data. I've now installed the USA version with the internet off and the game starts and gets to the start screen, but then it says that a system update is required and will now return to the Wii u menu.

Weird since I'm on 5.5.2 so I don't know.
