Anyones else suffers from slow framerates after updating to 1.6.3?
1.6.0 had no problems. Playing CPS and NeoGeo games were always 59-60FPS, now it get's barely at 50FPS, mostly between 40-44FPS...
Same here on my 2ds with picodrive. Framerate drop to 15-20FPS. Back to 1.6.0

Not really, though I am using yesterday's nightly so that may have fixed the problem.

Catsfc and Catsfc Plus have been renamed to SNES9X 2005 and SNES9X 2005 Plus, while mGBA has been removed in favor of the normal 3DS version and gpSP.

Running the most recent nightly and I can only get ~30fps with Genesis Plus GX. n3DS, cia. What version should I be using if I want a smooth framerate?

Genplus GX has never been able to reach 60 FPS on N3DS. Picodrive can and it's always a smooth 60 FPS.

Doesn't sound right at all. In the past, I've always gotten Genesis GX+ to work the best on N3DS. However, that was a while ago.
Funnily enough, pretty sure it was the opposite; that PicoDrive ran worse. And that would make sense, since it has 32X emulation packed in as well.

That seems EXTREMELY strange, due to the higher accuracy of Genesis Plus GX. Picodrive's been able to run at a smooth 60 FPS on N3DS and 60 FPS with minor slowdowns from time to time on O3DS.

But Genesis GX+ is also made with speed in mind as well; it's not like the difference between SNES9X and BSNES/higan.
Also, on N3DS with 1.6.0 Stable, it works totally fine at fullspeed.

Weird, it's never been able to hit >40 FPS for me.

Not sure what the case could be. I've tried Sonic 3 Complete, Castlevania - Bloodlines, and a bit of Gunstar Heroes; all of which ran fullspeed. This was the case long ago in the earlier nightlies, I'm not sure what could've changed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

use picodrive instead.

Once again, just use 1.6.0 Stable and run Genesis GX+. It works fine.

I might try 1.6.0 stable, but I have tried Sonic 3 Complete, Castlevania, Megaman: The Wily Wars and .

Would someone kindly explain to me the difference in the fbalpha cia's?
I'm guessing Final Burn Alpha 2012 cps-1 plays cps-1 games only and, Final Burn Alpha 2012 cps-2 is for cps-2 only and. Final Burn Alpha 2012 neo geo is for neogeo games only but what is just 'Final Burn Alpha 2012' and why is it bigger than all of them by 12mb?
