There is also a config menu with options to enable or disable health and safety screen (like in the video) and enable splash, which should look similar to luma3ds's configuration screen. (Source: github)All pics of hiyacfw so far...

Well, I don't think gbarunner2 is capable of an in-game menu.Done with DSi VC concept screenshots!
Is it even possible to program a sort of VC emulator with an official-looking interface and better DSi-enhanced emulation using TWL clock speeds off another existing emulator for DS?
IDK, just look at Sonic Classic Collection, which is essentially just a DSi-enhanced version of jEnesisDS packed into a DS Game Card.
There are other GBA emulators for DS, for example TempGBA, a plugin for DSTWO, which uses an in-game menu. Maybe we can recompile it into a standalone .nds file?Well, I don't think gbarunner2 is capable of an in-game menu.
DSi's CPU is not that good. Indeed we could improve both Genesis and SNES emulation but is not that powerful as DSTWO's extra CPU. Also gbarunner2 is perfect for the DSi. I don't care if it does not have a in-game menu just like AGB Firm in 3DS or Nintendon't on Wii.There are other GBA emulators for DS, for example TempGBA, a plugin for DSTWO, which uses an in-game menu. I have to admit GBARunner2 is a good emulator, but it doesn't have any border surrounding the screen, unlike the DS(Lite)'s GBA mode.DSi's CPU is not that good. Actually lastest GBARunner2 has centered screen and works pretty well with nds-bootstrapI have to admit GBARunner2 is a good emulator, but it doesn't have any border surrounding the screen, unlike the DS(Lite)'s GBA mode.
But it would still look cleaner with a black border lolActually lastest GBARunner2 has centered screen and works pretty well with nds-bootstrap
Woah f**k. I didn't even know that until now.It has. Proof from GBARunner2 thread:
Dunno but it should work as any emunand/rednand.Woah f**k. I didn't even know that until now.
By the way, can you copy your SRLs from your SD card's NAND to the private folder using Data Management on CFW?
Yes, as @Apache Thunder's video shows.When I exit to the DSi Menu from an app launched from CFW, should I have to redo the exploit again?
Actually, I might be able to create an ingame menu. I have enough control over the game to do that. Restore points might be possible, but could give problems, because some stuff might be hard to save and/or restore.Well, I don't think gbarunner2 is capable of an in-game menu.
@Gericom (?
You don't have to update the main GBARunner2, you can just make a fork of it, if you will. Maybe even make the emulator fork load one ROM off an SD directory, similar to @SuperrSonic's RA forwarders.Actually, I might be able to create an ingame menu. If someone wants to provide graphics, post them in the GBARunner2 thread.
An game menu would be great! Turning the Ds/3DS on, off everytime you want to change the game is a bit cumbersome.Actually, I might be able to create an ingame menu. I would implement the ingame menu in the normal version tooYou don't have to update the main GBARunner2, you can just make a fork of it, if you will. Maybe even make the emulator fork load one ROM off an SD directory, similar to @SuperrSonic's RA forwarders.
True. I hope I can have it reset into the file select menu too indeedAn game menu would be great! Turning the Ds/3DS on, off everytime you want to change the game is a bit cumbersome.
No need, just do it for the DSi VC version. We can maybe even get more people to make DSi VC forks out of other emulators, like jEnesisDS, nesDS or NeoDS, and implement the ingame menu and ROM forwarding into the forks.I would implement the ingame menu in the normal version too
Then what about the DS/DSLite Gamer? It would be sad if we withhold this major improvement.No need, just do it for the DSi VC version. Just make sure to do some research on how the DSi Menu and System Settings work, and I'll help you and other developers implement my ingame menu concept and make it behave as close to the official System Settings as possible.
I'm thinking about making the forwarders work on DS(Lite), but making them enhanced when running them on a DSi with CFW.Then what about the DS/DSLite Gamer? It would be sad if we withhold this major improvement.
