If you have a Nintendo-refurbished 3DS or 2DS, what are the letters and first 2 numbers of the serial number? I'm trying to write some code that can detect whether your system is refurbished.

My refurbished American Old 2DS has AW91.

I'm particularly interested in refurbished non-XL New 3DS systems, if they exist. The reason is that non-XL New 3DS devkits (IS-SNAKE-BOXes) are Y*91, and it would be weird if there were a collision on serials between retail and debug.

Interesting. I'm tempted to buy a refurb system just to check this.
Do gamestop refurb systems count or just Nintendo store ones?

Just Nintendo ones, because I believe that Nintendo is assigning new serial numbers to refurbished systems.

USA
OLD 3DS are CW
OLD 3DS XL are SW
OLD 2DS are AW
New 3DS are YW
New 3DS XL are QW

And New 2DS XL will be NW.

But it's the first two digits, not letters, for refurbished systems that in interested in. =^-^=

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
