I believe you can. Not sure how powerful it has to be. It would be cool if the magnet in my hand would work but I doubt it.
The average folding tablet case is sufficient, get a Geomag stick if you really want to buy something that won't obstruct the buttons :)

Nice! I am going to share this here in case people want to revive their old bricked Acekard 2i cards if these happen to be ones working with NTRboothax.

I don't know if @Apache Thunder would need to make an update for the updaters (no pun intended) for B9S.
I wonder if Apache is still active. Loads of people have tagged him in posts about NTRBoothax but I haven't seen him reply to any

I think what i'm gonna say is kinda related to the thread, i haven't tried myself and i don't know if there are tools, but is there a possiblity for us to decrypt de entire nand right now?, also; can we make use of a nand from a different console, with b9s in it and make it start godmode9/decrypt9WIP/Hourglass9 in a different console?, if so we could essentialy clone a functional 3ds into a bricked one, and; if we can decrypt the entire Nand, can we rebuild the console specific parts of it? if that's the case then we can turn the imaginary cloned 3ds to be their one console again. Sorry if i got carried away or if the ideas presented aren't really making sense, i still have to check the easiest part of my idea, which is using the Nand backup of my functional O3ds, which has b9s installed, on a blue screen bricked O3ds XL.

Ntrboothax is a recently discovered recovery mode where if certain buttons are pressed when the lid is closed then the bootrom will boot from a specially formatted NTR (DS) cart. If you are familiar with the PSP scene, just think of it as a Pandora Cart.
On O3DS, there are only 2 buttons (L & R) that can be pressed when lid closed (!?). N3DS, there are total 5 (Power, L, R, ZL, ZR)

Will O2DS be screwed again like with the old day with 3D mode brick (???) since there is no lid closing function :rofl2:

I was thinking the same thing. There might be something there, otherwise Nintendo would have to do something completely different to fix those systems.

One question I have is will sighax work with the announced n2ds, or is there a chance Nintendo will have a better bootrom for those, and sighax will not work?

As far as I know, no one knows. It's not like Nintendo's going to say "Hey, haxors we know how much you like hacking so we changed the bootrom with a hardware revision for you." when they came out of the left field with it. Unless someone can get their hands on the press ones Nintendo's showing off, we'll have to wait until it's released.

Refridgerator magnet, since the 3ds probably just uses the speakers magnet anything like neodynium would probably be overkill.

See if you can find the detector and trick your 3ds into going into sleepmode.
