sup peeps. what is the last citra build (any build, just most recent) that supported frame_skip? AFAIK it's a sept 24, 2016 unofficial build (qt-no-gs-no-blah-blah-blah).

In terms of raw, sheer speed nothing so far beats the Mingw build dated 18-04-2017 (although my cpu doesn't support either sse4 nor avx, so i speak only for myself).

Some sort of build with Mingw-quality speed, even a bit less, BUT with addition of frame_skip would be GLORIOUS. would make almost any game playable.

drwhojan: thanks so much for the reply, i'm building what you linked right now. i'll give it a try.

hey, would you be kind enough to answer me this question? when i've been trying to edit some citra save games and sometimes it works and sometimes not. why when i hex edit a save game (this case, 3ds ver. of elminage: gothic game) the emulator never recognizes the file? In some games it works, but in most it doesn't.

i know exactly how to hex edit that game's saves since they're identical to the PC version of the same game but it just never works. i've googled but all i get are threads/posts about specific-game save editors that people have made, but i've yet to come across a clear answer as to what/how.

Sadly not, all the citra source codes are fixed in the fps habit, unless a newer update happens in its core.
Only fps I can boost is in the video rendering only , AddTicks(ticks_executed); -> AddTicks(2100) , Nice balance nor too fast are slow about was 50% speed gone to 100% speed are little over, but that's just a Hack way, with frame limiter grate.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Got some of this done just ArchiveFactory_RomFS change too
ArchiveFactory_SelfNCCH

Just looking where to replace, AES::AesContext ac) : aes_context(ac) {

how do i do that "addticks" thing?
Is it for compile only or is it a setting?

And good luck with that!.

No think really more to be done, and getting little boring other things too do.

It's very sad to hear this, your merged compilations have always been the best for me:(, but I understand your reasons and thanks for all @drwhojan.

Lemme rearrange it for you:

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
