How to sideload PS1 Emulator on Xbox One (Needs further testing)

PSX-BOX is officialy dead. Due to some other projects I'm involved in, I don't have the time to work on it nor do I have the interest in the project anymore.

If you want PS1 Emulation on Xbox One you can either A. Get winpse10 for free (Not hard to find, just have a look around the forums) or B. You can install RetriX (A Libretro Port for Xbox One). Currently PS1 Emulation on RetriX is still a work in progress so keep that in mind.

only thing left is button mapping

Pretty much yes. And I'll be working on that within the next couple days. :)

@DavidRO99
Loading the bios has already been implemented although I didn't show it in the demo as of now you can choose and set your BIOS File :) . It just doesn't show of course because the Emulator Core still needs to be implemented so when you set the bios and launch a game you will then see the bios displayed. The only thing left is button mapping and just implementing the emulator core and that's it.

Yes as long as the files are on there (You can always use file explorer on XB1 to Move files to the Internal) then you can use the Internal HDD. Using a USB or External is certainly not required

Also, what does the export game button do? does it like take a game already saved onto your hdd and dumps it on a usb

Yep pretty much. The user will select a game to be copied to an external Drive. Just the opposite of import pretty much. But like i said you can also load backups from the internal HDD as well

the reason i ask this is because the n64 emulator for example stores your games under the apps directory

i know its not made by you but i didnt know if games could go anywhere else because those emus have a database file and you have to import from onedrive or import rom from external

I appreciate your efforts a lot in this forum.
I dont know if you read my topic. I suggested codemakers to port microsoft software to xbox one dev mode. In this way, dev mode will make more sense than just using a couple emulators.

I dont think it is a tough job for someone like you.
The software I suggest to be ported for xb1 dev mode are not illegal or pirated.
for example, can you make installable versions (.appxbundle) of these?

https://www.appx4fun.com/xap/1056/

I am definitely sure XB1 people would be very interested in this stuff..

tnx in advance

Update: I went through and cleaned up a big majority of the codebase. It doesn't run any games yet as I still have to import the Emulator Core possibly through P_Invoke, however it (Being the U.I.) works and you can go ahead and play around with it a bit if you'd like. Run it on your computer, Xbox One, your toaster I don't care :P

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
