So I just gave the game a whirl on PC, but it doesn't feel natural for me. For me this is a Switch-must. I know it will come, but is there any information when besides the vague "2017" in Nintendo's store?

Nope.
Connect the JoyCons to your PC and play it using them? :P

The overall mediocre reviews for this game are a bit disappointing, I was really looking forward to this game, but I may skip it entirely now and just look forward to Super Mario Odyssey.

The Switch version should have patches and updates, so it might be the definitive version. Now Playtonic is focused on the Switch version development only (plus the bug fixes for all systems), so who knows they may change some things?

It doesn't sound like bugs are the big issues of the game though. It sounds like one of the biggest problems with the game is poor level design. Presenting all sorts of things early in gameplay that you'll want to tackle, but you wont even be able to properly interact with until many more hours of gameplay when you have new skills and the like, forcing you to backtrack and thereby padding out the game time. Now I know that this isn't new to the genre necessarily, but Dunkey made a good point about how this wasn't really an issue with Banjo Kazooie, but was one in Banjo Tooie, which in retrospect may contribute to why I enjoy the first one considerably more than the second.

I don't think that this will be a bad game, but I do think that I may have perhaps got my hopes and expectations too high for what this game was going to be.

"Game is bad."
I played it for over 9 hours already.
And i loved every moment of it so far, there are also over 300 positive reviews on Steam so...

It's one of those games that you should try and make your own opinion of.

Wow, triggered snowflakes detected in the thread. I said it's a shitty cash-in on nostalgia and it's a shitty cash-in on nostalgia, big surprise. Game looks like it fell out of a PS2 and the gameplay is tired, the whole formula feels like homework. No amount of patching will fix a game that was a bad idea to begin with.

It's better than Mighty No 9.

Pro reviews and user reviews seem to disagree heavily on this one. I'm sure it's not Andromeda broken. You can be tired of the formula, but that doesn't mean everyone is.
