Hello everyone, I'm trying to install games with WUP Installer (I have like 3 WUP installers on my SD and none of them works). I open the HB, then open Mocha, then open WUP installer and after I select install whatever game on my USB storage it says Error 0xFFFCFFE9 - access failed (no USB storage attached?). I tried to install it without opening Mocha and it works with legitimate games (Like Zelda BOTW) but when I try to install games like Dr. Luigi (eShop), Pkm Mystery Dungeon (VC eShop) and DLC it says that it needs a sigpatch so IDK what to do. I have all of the folders right and also I've formatted and tried another USB storages and nothing works. I don't know if I can install them direct on the sysNAND or what? (I'm downloading the games with Wii U USB Helper, the ones that I'm having the problem are the ones that says "CFW Only)"
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

You need to setup a CFW. Read my noob guide in the stickies. It should explain everything

But I can't install HaxChi because I don't have any DS games :/
Have you tried the WUP installer GX2 channel?

Install that and try installing from the channel instead of HBL launched WUP Installer. WUP Installer GX2 channel won't work unless you are running in CFW so it will be a good test

But can I install it without redNAND? On the sysNAND? There's no probability of bricking my WiiU, right?
I saw a guy from YouTube installing DLC on his sysNAND with Mocha and WUP Installer from HBL so IDK why I can't do it too :S

Yes you don't need rednand. It's just a different version of WUP Installer that works as a channel. Mocha should work fine for this.

I just wanted you to install the channel and then try WUP Installer GX2 channel to install your stuff that's not working. It's a good indicator if you're using Mocha right because you can't launch that channel until you run a CFW (like Mocha)

0% risk of brick

What are you trying to install? Some apps might not install from HBL itself. [Launch browserhax->HBL->WupYMod/GX2 and check if it installs there]

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
