It's just something cool to compare it to because both of these controllers are absolutely marvellous to play with. A shame that Nintendo skipped out on having analogue triggers (= no GC VC without them).
Perhaps there will be shameless "gamecube joycons" that you have to purchase to get that gamecube feel.

That's funny, because people all over the internet has be asking for transparent, especially Nintendo, devices.
I quite like the somewhat translucent. the ps3 controller is a little like that.

U pro controller is nice, I just hate the gloss to it. I hope SPC will be better. Got a Xbox One controller from my friend for free and liking it better than U pro controller.

You might have seen it already but here's a high quality close up picture of SPC's rear part:

All around an impressively made controller.

Does the increased price come from the better rumble technology or are they just price gouging us? I don't approve of $70 controllers, that's pretty weak in my opinion. Hopefully Nintendo is able to add compatibility with Wii U pro controllers, they said they're looking into such a thing, so maybe that will come, I'd love that, because I've really grown to low the Wii U pro controller and I already have 3 of them.

The Switch Pro Controller will come with the technology that the Joy-Cons have and better, it'll be like the Xbox One controller but for the Switch.

I have 4 so would love compatibility as well, however it does have gyro and for some games like Splatoon many find it helpful. Not all, one of my boys hates it and just uses the sticks, but he isn't very good either.

Not sure how the Pro will function with ARMS.

But the left one placed incorrectly. Symmetric > assymetric

I think ultimately I prefer asymmetric layouts. I did grow to love the Wii U Pro controller, but the Gamecube controller always felt the most natural and comfortable to me. And don't even get me started on my issues with the Dualshock controllers.

You can use the SPC with ARMS, heck, it's even playable as a single player game although it's designed for 2 people and with use of the Joy-Cons.

I am interested in ARMS, but I'm probably going to be a standard controller guy. I'll play a bit with the motion controls, I'm sure, but when I wanna play competitively, especially online, its definitely going to be a standard controller game for me.

Just not sure about that game I need to see more. If it is just "enhanced" boxing I would likely get bored quickly. I also have to consider that my current console gaming room is not very big and this kind of game can really get kids worked up.

I played it and it was fun although I couldn't see myself playing it for more than 5 minutes.

Does it charge with a USB-C connection? I think that's what it is from the pic of the back of the controller, but its a bit hard to tell for sure. USB-C charging cables are a bit more expensive than mini or micro cables, so that too could play into the higher price tag. Again, not a fan of that pricetag, but I'll probably get myself one pro controller with the Switch. And then hopefully in the future Wii U Pro controllers become compatible.
