Didn't the devs from Project C.A.R.S say they'd for sure port over the game to the Switch? I wonder what they have to say now. It's probably "We're sorry, the Switch is still considerably underpowered so we cannot work with this hardware."

Just effin' great.

No Tekken 7, no Project C.A.R.S, no The Witcher, no Battlefield 1, no Titanfall 2, no Yakuza, no Digimon Next Order or whatever. So, Nintendo stating "there's more than 80+ games" isn't exactly good news anyway. I think and hate to say but the Switch might be another WiiU, except it won't be terrible in sales.

those people are called graphic whores not gamers

Ok, so, tell me some good first person shooters you played on the Wii or WiiU. Does not need to be multiplayer at all. Or even hd. Or even 30fps. Just give me 3-4 good ones, even at 240p. I do not care about the graphics at all. Let me know when you find them. Then think again about calling everybody who enjoy games you don't a whore, because specific games are DEMANDING in nature and will naturally NOT COME to Nintendo's hardware.

While you are at it, let me know some good racers too, not only NFS and Mario Kart.

Those kind of games didn't sell before on past nintendo consoles, its fair that 3rd party companies are skeptical about porting games that were already released in other platforms. As I said before, if the switch sells well and gains a very decent install base, it'll get third party support.

For the people that is still concerned about power, remember that the switch is compatible with UE4, Vulkan and a bunch of modern graphics API, and it's getting Steep, a port from a modern game released on PS4, PC and Xbox ONE.

People is arguing over nothing lol, first wait until the console is released.

The problem is if the developers feel the hardware is unsuitable for their games then they'll rather just avoid it altogether. Do you remember what happened to Shadow of Mordor on Xbox 360 and PS3?

Gamers don't have an issue when a game's downgraded a bit but to the point of SoM, it's just unacceptable.

Nintendo Switch is better than the WiiU but worse than the PS4 and XO, so it's like the Watch Dogs thing all over again (PS4 > XO > WiiU > Xbox 360 > PS3).

But do people really expect PS4 power in a tablet for 300 dollars? Such technology would set the tablet to at ridiculous prices, that, and the battery life would go to hell.

Developers have no word on company's business, if EA sees a profit oportunity on the switch, they'll port games regardless of what that guy from respawn said.

And then you're left with this result:

Yeah, it'd totally not get any backlash at all.

Pascall is a tinier Maxwell with better battery life, even with pascal, it wouldn't reach fully xbox one raw power.
i'm not saying it would but it would generate less heat, more battery power and would come a lot closer to power equal to current gen consoles

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

We don't know for sure of any real specs, either way, you can't get PS4 power for 300 dollars. Have fun with crappy battery life XD
using pascal would get you more battery life

Well, beggars can't be choosers, people are either going to have to accept the fact the Switch is what it is, or they don't get one and get another console. Really simple. Price won't be reasonable if it had such hardware though *shrug*. C'est la vie.

You're forgetting that this is a portable system, even if the games are very gimped, they can be played on the go, something you can't do on other platforms.
Who the hell would want to play a game with such a horrible framerate?

Just in case you were in doubt (lol), :

Express Online has spoken to producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi to find out if the Nintendo Switch games lineup is about to be given a boost.
"I think it's a very unique piece of hardware," producer Masachika Kawata explained.
"I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch."

The people that want to play those kind of games on the go :) If you want steady framerate then buy a PC (or a non-portable homeconsole), clearly this console isn't marketed towards you.
They would have to be pretty desperate and completely oblivious to the fact they were playing games at really slow speeds.

Anyhow, you can keep on trying to defend the Switch, Atlas.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice

    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze

    so..... yeah

we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double

but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
