@FIX94 if I'm not mistaken a few modifications to the new wuphax elf could make it install haxchi files from SD right?
yea, and thats exactly what I'll be working towards today, it was just easier to first write one for wuphax because I could hardcode all the needed paths.

So this is something I wrote today which may be helpful to people who dont have a required game to hack vwii.

UPDATE: this update is one month after the initial release of v1.0, this is much simpler to do now with v1.1!
Grab the current elf release from the releases tab.
Download the hackmii installer and put its boot.elf on your sd card root.
Make sure to unplug any and all usb devices before following any of these steps.
Put it into your wiiu/apps folder on your sd card and run it in homebrew launcher.
Press A to back up your current mii channel and inject it with wuphax.
After the wiiu restarted, go into wii mode and run mii channel, install homebrew channel from there.
To restore the mii channel just run the elf again and press B this time.

I don't understand, first it says download the hackmii and put it on the root of the se, then it says put it into wiiu/apps folder

No, the boot.elf and wuphax.elf are two different files. You put the boot.elf on the root of the SD card, then put the wuphax.elf into the wiiu/apps folder.

No it isn't. The wii-u you have is magnitudes more expensive than a 7 USD vc game.
I'm one of those people who rely on the chores -> allowance system. I saved for the Wii U from the launch year to this year. Christmas also helps.

Haxchi is a way of using a vulnerability in the DS Virtual Console to load homebrew applications, like a custom fw.img loader, or the Homebrew Launcher.
So another words for a Nintendo ds? All so what are some awesome wiiU homebrew apps and hacks or anywhere to watch movies n stuff like that

How do I get stuff free off the eshop channel

No. Haxchi uses Nintendo DS VC games, but it is not another word for a Nintendo DS. You can find Wii U homebrew apps on the Homebrew App Store. You can't get free stuff off of the eShop without getting a download code, which only Nintendo can give out.

What's haxchi
No offense, but before asking questions and trying to be spoonfed, why not check the other threads in this section? The thread "
[Release] Haxchi Installer 1.2 (Noob friendly)" is right there in your face!
You can't get free stuff off of the eShop without getting a download code.
And those download codes are freely available on that "key" site. Good to keep it cryptic, though. He should do his homework before asking how to do it.

So it says "put it in your wiiu/apps folder. I probably sound idiotic, but what exactly goes in that folder?

Create a folder for the wuphax.elf in the SD:\wiiu\apps folder. In otherwords:

SD:\wiiu\apps\wuphax\wuphax.elf

The boot.elf from the Hackmii download goes in the root of the SD card.
