Guys, I have a quick question, a little dummy, but quick :)
I have always compiled my Luma3DS (more of a "training" than "to have the latest" thing), but I've noticed that my version if not showing 6.0.1 and still shows as 5.5.
The git commit part of the version does indeed updates and the Luma3DS menu does show the latest implementations (like when the PIN feature was created) but the version is not "increasing".

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!
Idk, I'm randomly throwing stuff, but did you do make clean before compiling?

Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000x using Tapatalk

So, make clean didn't work...

No matter how I compile, my Luma3Ds always shows 5.5 instead of 6.0.1

I mean compiling Luma3DS.
If you really mind that issue change the Line 15 in the makefile whatever you like. Make sure you have correctly downloaded latest commit.

:example:
Code:
revision := "Version 6.0.1" or something else. w/o quotations.
commit := $(shell git rev-parse --short=8 HEAD)   <- you can change line 16 too.

I know this is not a good solution for your make issue. but hope you will be happy.

Well, I "fixed" it by redownloading the entire Luma3DS git and compiling

Thanks for the tip though!

Hi everyone, i'm trying to install luma3ds to my son's 3ds, the actual config on the 3ds is as follows:

  • old3ds ver. 4.5.0-6u
  • emunand rx3d 11.0.0-33u
  • rxtools v2.6, booting from nintendo ds profile (called "mset" i think)
  • h&s app replaced by fbi (patched via rxtools) on sysnand and emunand
  • fbi installed on sysnand via rxmode on sysnand (to install mset with select button)

I know by the great tutorials you have, 1st step is to update the sysnand to ver. 9.2.0-20u
following this btw: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/rxTools-Browser
i'm ready with all the necessary files listed on the tutorial
i don't care to save anything, so i can format sd or even use another one and start clean.

My great doubts that stops me from start are (by the risk of a brick):

  1. Following the tutorial, i have to re-patch h&s app to install sysupdater or it will be corrupted by re-patching, i don't have the backup of the file.
  2. And the most important doubt, on the tutorial, step 27 says to boot on rxtools to launch h&s app (now fbi), and install sysupdater this way, BUT, in the sysupdater page (this: https://github.com/profi200/sysUpdater/releases/) says this: "IMPORTANT: Don't run this with any sort of firmware spoofing enabled like Gateway mode/rx mode/whatever or it will brick!" what to do then? running rxtools is not the same as being on rx mode?, as the tutorial says to run "devmode" on rxtools, is not the same as rx mode? i don't know this.

As soon i update the console, i'm gonna follow the next tutorials to install luma3ds, by the moment i need your help with this,
thanks in advance and sorry my english, is not my main language.

Wiki guide, explanation of all options and features: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki

First, this is a solid CFW. Hats off to you and the group -- homebrew & hacks FTW!

I have a couple questions on the (relatively) new per-title .code loading, in part because the Wiki is silent.

Q1: Are there any examples that modify the .code sections (more than just string replacement)?
Q2: Is there a preferred format for modifications to existing code? (e.g., add some SALT to Pokémon ORAS, but preferably without requiring everyone to have IDA?)
Q3: Is there a curated list of existing .code mods? (e.g., apply this bindiff to
Q4: Any possibility of integrating the Corbenik virtual machine, to simplify the distribution of hacks to existing games?

Again, great feature. I look forward to seeing where this goes....

Hello~
I'm on Luma3DS 6.0.1 on N3DSXL with Menuhax and CTRBootManager. Everything's ok, but i want to switch to LumaDEV (for Nitrohax), but when i'm on LumaDEV, i can't access to the EmuNAND...
I switch on the 3DS, the BootManager appears, i select Luma3DS, the splashscreen appears, but a few seconds latter i'm back on BootManager... What's wrong ?

It sounds like your config file got messed up after the latest update. Hold Select once you start up Luma3DS and make sure Autoboot Sysnand isn't on.
