just updated emunand9 and decrypt9 on luma payload
i set "up" button on on d9 and "left" button on e9...
but upon turning on the 3ds while press-holding the desired button, nothing happens, homebrew launcher just loops does not load.
What did I do wrong at least the homebrew worked before the update I updated started pack as well to see if this may help.

help?
Hold the button THEN turn on your system. And EmuNAND9 and Decrypt9 won't work from the Homebrew Launcher. Just remove those folders as they are now useless.

You don't need starter.bin at all and to use the A button as a payload, you have to do this: "For r_NAME.bin, a_NAME.bin and select_NAME.bin you need to press L+R, L+A and L+SELECT on boot respectively."

Can you provide a screenshot of your payloads folder?

how do i upload photo here?
Just find a way to take a screenshot of your payloads folder, save it to your computer, and when you make a new post, click on Upload a File and choose your screenshot.

To make things easier, just follow the naming format as seen here.

No wonder the payloads aren't working. You typed a dash/hyphen ( - ) instead of an underscore ( _ ) for EmuNAND9. You don't need default.bin in your payloads folder and you can delete the left_Decrypt9.bin1 file. At the bottom of this part in Plailect's guide, provided for you to use as a reference, is an image of the things you NEED to have on your SD card. PLEASE look at that image. You can delete everything that's not in that image off of your SD card.

you have to use _ instead of - in some of your payloads I think.correct them as @KunoichiZ stated with the link.
i.e. x_emuNAND9.bin and not x-emuNAND.bin

also delete the extra you have.no reason to have emuNAND9 for example 4 times in payloads folder

edit:also move D9Game folder insider /files9/ folder

Format it to FAT32 then copy everything from your current SD card to the 64GB card.

I just got into rednands and shit. If i use "backup emunand to file", will that copy the rednand adn it'll still be a rednand or will it convert it to an emunand? In short how do i backup a rednand efficiently so i can restore it after a9lh?
That is a question I have to answer too often, even if it comes in different forms. In short: you don't have to care. There is no difference between a backup made from an EmuNAND and a RedNAND. Read the readme!

Hi,

I have an A9lh system and I updated my y_emunand.bin in /luma/payloads to the new .bin file you just released.

1.Do I have to transfer the starter.bin too to my /files9/ folder in my SD card?

P.S. I have updated x_Decrypt9WIP.bin in /luma/payloads with your recent Decrypt9WIP.bin file and renamed it again and have already created the files you mention in github(files9 and D9Game)

2.In your older emuNAND9 release the backups that I did yesterday were saved inside /Emunand9/ folder.
With your new release, will the new backups make an extra folder inside /files9/?

thank you!

Edit:
1.I didn't transfer the starter.bin
2.the backups are saved at the /files9/ folder
Everything goes in /files9 now, the starter.bin, too.

Hello, @d0k3

First thanks for your EmuNAND9. Now I have some problem in shifting EmuNAND from a 4G micro SD card(Original Toshiba) to a 32G one(Samsung EVO).

When my N3DS entering EmuNAND9 through HBL by the 32G SD, it shows:

"Work directory: <null>
EmuNAND: SD is ready
SD storage: unknown filesystem"

And I try to format SD in EmuNAND9, but it shows "SD card i/o failure"

I have format this micro SD by Win10 and Diskgenius for some times, this problem still occurs. Do you have any suggestions?
The 3DS hardware does not like certain SD cards and very often the solution is to get a different one. There is one thing you could try, though: use the last GM9 release (my signature) for the initial format. Unmount the SD card first (R+B) in GM9. Let me know if it helps.

just updated emunand9 and decrypt9 on luma payload
i set "up" button on on d9 and "left" button on e9...
but upon turning on the 3ds while press-holding the desired button, nothing happens, homebrew launcher just loops does not load.
What did I do wrong at least the homebrew worked before the update I updated started pack as well to see if this may help.

help?
Homebrew Launcher looping? HBL is not even involved in the setup you described. I don't have another idea what could have gone wrong in your setup either, but maybe someone else has.

Both GodMode9 & SafeMod9 I tried, the first time I enter in it shows "Initialising SD card failed! Retry?", and "<A>yes" has no work...By the way, I find it costs a long time when I try to enter EmuNAND9.

@WiLL.Mz
I have a Samsung Evo(MB-MP32DA-EU)32GB micro sdhc card with an sdcard adapter to my 2DS and it works pretty well, I have no problem with emuNAND9

I don't know why it's in trouble with my EVO(MB-MP32D/CN), maybe it's especial...

@WiLL.Mz
Did it ever work if so how was it being launch to get it to work?

I don't know what problem u have, if u want to enter EmuNAND9 by HBL, u should put EmuNAND.3dsx & EmuNAND.smdh in /3DS/EmuNAND9 while put HBL's boot.3dsx in root directory. u can find them in release zip.
