I suggest people don't use eShop. I mean, if you are using this release, you probably aren't going to go legit anyway.
I have 1TB of no-intro 0001-1411 games. When 1TB microSDs are on sale, I want to be able to copy games fast using UHS-2 (or even faster).
I also want to share games with people who have the release installed, so I give them the 1TB microSD with tickets and 0-key Nintendo\ 3DS folder.
But what about the 300 game limit?

I'm half curious on what you do about the title limit

Don't want to risk hardmodding mate. In my country, people who offers 3ds hardmodding are really rare, and the trusted ones are even rarer, and i don't even understand electronics.
A9lh might be a go for me, i'll think about installing. :grog:

I guess the relationship between movable.sed and console is server registered.
If there was no system transfer performed, Nintendo would not allow unregistered console + movable.sed conbinations to use online services.

Uh, but just plain ticket installing and downloading from eshop is much faster, simpler and more reliable if you want to pirate.

You get to keep games on your home menu, keep network access and all regular 3DS features. Better than tinkering around with mostly unknown stuff and use a non standard setup

That would require one to download a huge RAR and if that's the case you might as well download the games individually.

Yeah, not worth the time and risk.

ok this seems cool and useful maybe - but, what about the tickets?
you need the ticket installed to make the content work... just because you have the game on the sd card doesn't mean it will work.
so, we still have to install something.
this is where CIAngel's ticket install would be useful :D

yeah we can do this with pc games too but it's still nice/cleaner to share the installer and install it yourself

An insert from cearp is always appreciated.

What happens if you do it to a stock console? E.g. one with an emunand, no-a9lh, you install this to sysNAND and then boot into a mode without sigs patched? And if it works, does it still work on system update?
it will still work without sigpatch.

Unless you already have the games, or you have a slow internet connection. You can ask your friend who has all the games to send you multiple microSDs, which you can put in your 3DS, install all the tickets, then play them.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
