I've just injected the latest FBI version and when I'm in the FBI menu, when I go down it automatically starts to go up like i'm pressing up on the dpad. Both CIA and Injected versions do that.
What's wrong?

You aren't accidentally pressing left, up on the circle pad, touching the screen, or anything?

The only recent change that I have made is move from Sysnand+Emunand to Updated sysnand. FBI was installed on Emunand the first time before I restored emunand to sysnand. I have tried without success:

1) Reinstall FBI.
2) Install the original Health app and install FBI again.
3) Recreate the injected FBI app with the original hs.app.
4) Tested the older version and it has the same problem.

It would seem that the problem is not FBI, the thing is that if I start DevMenu or SaveDataFilter it doesn't happen. On the homemenu it doesn't happen, or in games either.
What could be causing this?

It's probably a bug, or user error as @Steveice10 mentioned.

Edit: Maybe your 3ds isn't really that good with FBI.
Do you want to continue your use of FBI or are you fine with an alternative CIA installer like BBM?

It could also be that your 3ds' 10.6 is causing it.

Edit 2: Have you tried having both the inject and the cia version? I never tried it and I don't know if that's possible too but worth Googling.

If I click on any option, whithout touching any of the input buttons, the selection cursor moves up on its own. So you can rule out user input error.
I'm going to try and update the 3ds and see if that fixes it. I wanted to use the network install feature of FBI but I guess if I can't solve it i'll just keep using the other cia installers.

If you have A9LH, and Luma3DS it is safe to update. Tell me if it worked, or you have updated. (Btw, it's 3:07 Am for me so if you need my help, I'm probably asleep lol)

Just updated and no dice, the same problem. I'm just about to give up and continue with other CIA installer. :(

Sad to hear that.
I tried network installing cias and it's great!
But there's always hope. What versions of FBI did you use?

I was using 1.4 something on emunand before moving to sysnand and it worked, now I tried 2.2.6 and 2.2.5 and even reinstalled the older one and all behave the same.
The thing is I can actually use FBI if I "work around" the moving and select the option when it is highlighted. :(
I think I'm going to record it and upload a video of it.

I don't know the changelog of FBI but my version is v2.2.1
Have you tried it? It's working perfectly for me.
Try injecting/downloading this version instead.

Yes, after a lot of testing I found out that it was the analog stick. It has a weird problem where it's behaving as if the up direction is tilted about 15% and the down direction only goes up to 50%. A lot of programs weren't giving me problems because they don't use the analog stick.

So, is the analog stick alright? As in, is it fixed?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
