Okay, so I recently bought a DSTWO Plus.
But, once I put a game (A Smash Homebrew Clone) on the flashcart's SD Card, it just stopped working.
Before it 'booted' fine. (As in initializing and pretending to be a different game)
I had assumed that this meant it was not ready yet. So I waited half an hour and still.
So, I formatted my SD and put the OS on it again. No dice.
(My firmware is also too new for the cart, I have 11.0.0-33U. So it just says an error occurred when trying to run it)
Did I kill it?

Does alcohol still work to clean electronic contacts?
Also is the Windows File Manager Format dialog good (or the Command Prompt FORMAT command) fine, or do I have to use that or the "SDFormatter" program?

just use windows format, ye alcohol still works

My supercard dstwo is pretty beat up and gives me hell all the time if I try to start it, I recently used ApacheThunders Twl-slot1 launcher to increase it's boot chances by a hundred times but still occasionally gives me errors but oh well I can live with it.

Well that's a sticky situation and wish you luck in your endeavors. Maybe try looking for a cheap DS to see if works in that?

An error has occurred.
Press and hold the POWER Button
to turn the system off.
Please refer to the
Operations Manual for details.

try that idea then appernty NDS/NDSL can fix broken carts
I heard that ONDS/DSi/DSL fixes the original DSTWO, not the DSTWO Plus (prty much just a DSTWO with a gateway 3DS simulator)
but i'll try it
(I have weird abreviations. ONDS = Original DS; DSL = DS Lite)

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

    This one lady... her son kept installing Kazaa... OK no problem the issue is he would download DBZ movies and they where amazing usually like 2-8KB in size lol can't remember how many times I had to format and reinstall windows over his stupidity. I even explained to him about file sizes multiple times...
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
