I've been trying to get into the homebrew launcher for hours but so far I haven't been successful. I tried to use browserhax but all it gives me is a yellow screen and then it goes to an "error has occurred" message. I then tried to use Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon by installing the hax on it from my O3DS and transferring it to my N3DS but it always get stuck on the red screen, no matter what I do. I made sure the payload was correct, I downloaded the ropbin for browserhax and renamed it to browserhax_hblauncher_ropbin.bin and double checked the payload on Super Mystery Dungeon installer to make sure it was New3DS 9.9.0-26U. Still hangs on a red screen and browserhax still crashes on the yellow screen.

Any ideas on what I can do? I'm honestly out of ideas and so is this wonderful person who has been helping me in PMs. That's why I'm posting this because I don't know what to do. :/

Seems it doesnt want you to do Homebrew...Other than that Try to Delete the cookies in the browser, restart and try browserhax again, Make sure you have the correct boot.3dsx in the sd card,

Did you start working from a guide or what? I never had any issue so.. maybe something really simple is being overlooked here? its a new 3ds, what version firmware? what region? where did you download your files from?
Version firmware is 9.9, and I've been following that popular guide everyone links people to. I got the ropbin from where you download the starter kit, and the rest were from Github. The only thing I haven't tried is entering the URL manually for browserhax but I don't know the URL for the N3DS version.

I did that, and I've been updating the boot.3dsx and trying different ones. The latest one I'm using was modified on May 14th or 16th, I'm not sure.

Ive been through that guide twice... at what point was it asking you to touch the ropbin files? I started with just the starter.zip

Well I had someone helping me in PMs, and she recommended I download the ropbin for browserhax since I wasn't able to get it to load.

You seem to have troubleshooted all of your problems already but just to be sure, walk through these again:
1. Download and extract all of the starter.zip to the root of your SD card.
2. Make sure you have the correct payloads. (You say you have troubleshooted this and have double-checked it.)
3. Reinitialize your browser. Browserhax can be very finicky. I'm used to a method where you have to reinitialize, play with turning your wifi off and on while scanning the QR code from the main page while on the home menu.

Yeah I dont know where to begin.. I assume you have put the time and date back, switched themes back and forth all as the guide said?

I've formatted both my SD card and 3DS, put the correct files on there, so I've done a few steps.
So, your SD card is formatted as FAT32? If you copy off your existing /Nintendo 3DS/ folder, put the SD card in your 3DS on the home menu, take it out, and put it in your computer, do you get another /Nintendo 3DS/ folder?

I just realized...I don't have a Nintendo 3DS folder created on my SD card.

Holy fucking hell...I'm a goddamn retard. My SD card wasn't inside the 3DS all the way.

No, it was formatted correctly. I just didn't have it in all the way.

Well A, Im sure you feel stupid but dont! Sometimes the easiest things are the hardest to troubleshoot lol. Let us know if you manage to get homebrew launcher started and then just follow the guide from there. Be careful not to skip any steps and follow the guide carefully and Im sure youll do fine. Good luck!

Well I got into the homebrew launcher, used Safesysupdater to check my files and then used Plaisysupdater to start the downgrade process. Right now it's saying HAX INIT....and it looks like it froze because it's not doing anything else. Do I turn the system off or leave it alone?
