Hacking Anything New?

I totally understand that there are "things in the works", and the WiiU has come a long way over the last year. But waiting "until theres something to shout about" (e.g. IOSU Exploit), doesn't help the scene grow, does it? For the most part, I'd consider myself a patient person, but I find the WiiU homebrew development scene strangely slow. IDK... Maybe it's just me. Sorry for ranting, and thanks for the feedback.

The moment you announce something before its release people will spam the developers with hatemail and constantly insult them for not releasing it, yet.
Ask yourself, where did hykem go?

I was going to create a thread just like this... i was just too lazy....
This guy made this post because he was to lazy to read the stickies.
Are you seriously telling me you are even lazier than THAT guy?
How do you manage to keep breathing?

Wait? Who are you, again? Have you contributed anything?
I really don't think you've done your research...

What the bloody blazes are you even going on about?
I am talking about both these people being lazy, so i HAVE to assume you are somehow trying to refer to that.
Have i contributed to their laziness? I sure hope not.
Have i done any research into laziness? No, now that you mention it i really do not think i have.

Either you are seriously invested into the topic of laziness or i have no idea who you were talking to.:wink::wink:

i personally blame the delayed / slow release of a kernel exploit to unify the devs acroos the different f/ws it alienated 5.5.1 devs . Some left , some nearly left . But it for sure had a negative effect.

I was starting to get angry so I stopped working on it. MAYBE it's not compatible with windows 10 or something. It's just saying UNAUTHORIZED in the Edge browser with some ip stuff and so on. I just wish it was as user friendly as the wii's homebrew browser. One of these days I'll come across an Android phone decent enough to hold more than just the OS and it's garbage. Unless I can do something with my ipad...?

Yes, actually, right before the exploit was leaked I bought a New 3DS and have been playing with that... That said, I am still slowly but surely working on some new Wii U stuff.

Here are some developers who you can follow on Github if anyone is interested:
- brienj
- QuarkTheAwesome
- CreeperMario
- rw-r-r0644
- me!

I'm working on hbas (Homebrew App Store) to try to consolidate all of the existing homebrew apps into a centralized location. I didn't want to announce anything about the development on it here and just release it (like I did Space Game (no, I won't stop plugging this)), however at this point it's been so long, maybe it's best to mention it so that people know that there are still things on the horizon.

All in all it's only been a month since the release, so with any luck there will be progress shortly (soon™)! I can also say that the learning curve has been kinda steep switching over to GX2, but thanks to all of dimok's lovely contributions there's a leg to stand on. :)

If the kernel exploit came out even about 3 months ago, I would have a LOT of stuff completed now. The timing of the "leak/release" was just a little too late unfortunately.

And what you see on GitHub of mine isn't everything I have either. I will only post source code on there if it is completely working and I'm happy with it. And a lot of "my" content on there are actually forks that I eventually plan on contributing to in the future, or to make it easier for me to find.

We wanted to port over a project we are working on for PC but documentation is a bit limited so it's taking some time.

Well, all of my android devices are crap on space. It's like none of them can hold like a KB of anything. What's the laptop procedure.
Search for self exploits, there are a few threads if you look through the pages.

Why do you use edge instead of chrome?

Since the shitfest of Hykem , nobody wants to mention anything until their projects are finished and released.

I'll vaguely mention that I'm working on a PC application to easily create complete Loadiine-ready VC games (images and all). Obviously compatibility is what it is still, but no more hex editing or renaming and moving files around. I'm only about 40% finished at the moment.

I decided to mention it because I've been cringing at every post, thread, and half-assed "converter" release that's been done in the last few weeks. Back to coding..

I appreciate your efforts.
Thanks for the guide.
