What about if you had a text file that got updated with the date when certain homebrews are run (I assume it's impossible to have an NTR plugin run as soon as the console is started up to have it update every time you start up)? Then hourglass9 uses this date with the option for the user to change it (left and right can select the year/month/day and up and down can increase or decrease it, no need for keyboard). If the user chooses a later date, the one in the text file can be updated. Not possible, has already been brought up. We have no access to the real time clock.
Does not sound very practical. And the idea of constantly writing a file to keep track of time can be pretty harsh to your SD card. What about if you had a text file that got updated with the date when certain homebrews are run (I assume it's impossible to have an NTR plugin run as soon as the console is started up to have it update every time you start up)? Or just have a date option as mentions using the arrow keys to edit. A watered down version of my text file idea is just to record the date chosen for the last backup, and the user can increase the date from there.Maybe make use of HBKB lib and add a keyboard
This way we can enter a custom name for the backup file.
No. Don't try it, but you can still fix it via Hourglass and a9lh. I'd only view it as an actual brick if I got no software possibility of fixing it.Can't you brick if you turn off your 3DS/battery dies while restoring the Sysnand?

It is not practical, and forcing this in does not make much sense. Dates inside NAND backup names will be a thing once we get access to the RTC, but not anytime earlier.Does not sound very practical. Has been asked a few times already. A virtual keyboard, apart from being a major pain to do in ARM9. just doesn't fit well inside the current code structure.
Good catch, and already fixed with the last commit. Doesn't warrant a new release yet, though. When using this, after the dragon appeared, the Decrypt9 logo is then loaded.
like me cause i clone 2.1 emunand in sysnand and had to hardmod xDYou might be afraid of what Decrypt9 can do and be overwhelmed by its ~120 menu entries. As you know, there are tons of safety clamps in D9, but as my experience showed me, there is also always that guy who manages to brick (or: forget something, do something he should not have done, etc ...) regardless. With this, you can't brick. Your biggest fear with this should be losing your backups. You can also install this on a kids console without fear of the little one messing his console up completely.
Take a good look at that icon, then think about what's the most controversial 3DS topic right now. You'll come up with it . Other than this, yup, this allows you to revert in time. So to say.
Ah, you're one of those guys? You might well be one of the people who gave me the idea to do this software .like me cause i clone 2.1 emunand in sysnand and had to hardmod xD
i did like 20 arm9 install and in the 21 i thinked why not clone emu in sys better that create a backup and restore in sysnand derpAh, you're one of those guys? You might well be one of the people who gave me the idea to do this software .
I presume you'd covert whatever .3ds files to .cia for her, yes?Oh, this is perfect for when I set up a9lh on my sister's 2DS since, for her, the other features of D9 aren't needed.
Somebody needs to make a theme based off of the Gateway menu for this, it'd be so perfect! And as per @d0k3 saying "this screams to be themed" (or something like that), it has been done!
