i really don't know anything nowadays worth any shit, all devices built nowadays break as soon as you touch it... televisions, radio's computers they're not lasting long enough to be called quality built... so i know a lot o stuff i have should've been a lot cheaper, like the notebooks of today: if they'll survive 3 years it's something the manufacturer is proud of? my c64 still works, my first laptop (compaq pentium 75 mhz) still works... but they can't get a modern console to survive 3 years? when i was 20 a television was as cheap as € 80,- and i could see everything clearly nowadays the tv looks way different always have a water like effect, even the 8k versions and the cheapest i can find is still 350 euro... nothing is too cheap all companies got greedy...

Scored a slim PS2 with cables, a memory card, and two controllers for under $12 total at Goodwill a couple years back. One of the controllers needed new joysticks but otherwise everything was in great condition.

Used to be that the local Walmart would clear out games for well below market price if they needed the shelf space. I saw a bunch of copies of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for $17 and never grabbed one, and of course now even a used copy goes for around eighty to a hundred bucks.

Also traded a Minecraft keycode about five years ago for a Jasper Xbox 360 Arcade that was apparently RRODing on occasion; figured since the warranty seal was intact I could just ship it off under the RROD warranty and get a working console back. Never had to do it - worked fine on arrival and to this day hasn't died, although my brother apparently managed to fry the HDMI on it.
