Back on my old Wii I use to get banned for hacking. This stop me from playing any games online. But there was a homebrew app to change my serial number and other numbers to unban myself. Where there be an app like that for Wii U? Thought there should be a topic on this

Well, you deserve it. It is better to obey the rules rather than break the rules. That's simple. You should know better. I never got myself banned because I won't do that and I obey the rules since Wii and now PS3 for years. ;)

God I hate this new breed of social justice hackers spouting "hurr durr you shouldn't be allowed to pirate it's wrong" or "hurr durr you shouldn't be allowed to hack online it's wrong".
This has nothing to do with piracy. They simply said that cheating and ruining other people's experiences online should have consequences. In the form of a permanent ban.

The difference is that hacking can ruin the experience for other players by giving you an unfair advantage. Piracy just gives you access to the game. They both are "morally wrong" but it's like comparing apples and oranges.

Not sure what a colorizer is, but Nintendo shouldn't have to distinguish between benign mods and game-ruining ones on a platform where no modding is to be expected.

Colorizer, I'm assuming in this context is a Splatoon mod to change the ink color. I don't mod splatoon personally, but I believe colorizing is only client-side so you cannot be banned for it. You take a different risk using cheats that are visible to others in an online enviorment, which is what I assume OP was banned for.

I think he means the Splatoon Colorizer hack. It just changes the color of ink and what not. I don't think there should be a ban just for using that since it's painless. People stilll did though.

client-side, and you can be banned for it cause, async or something

My mistake on the client part, but the reason people are being banned for it is because of the use of TCPGecko, the colorizer may have some issues in private matches though is what I've read.

If you're hacking online, you deserve to be banned. Bans are there for a reason.

This could actually be made, but lets just spread the word that online hacking, is bad.

Stop cheating, good they banned u

You know whats worse than getting banned?

Having misleading topic titles.

Try "How do I unban my Wii U?" next time.

Yea it can be done, it is known, but the people that "need" it should not have access to it. Plus IIRC it takes more permissions than we have at the moment.

Can we change the misleading thread title please?

(I assumed this was a tutorial on unbanning a Wii U... But some dumbass just wants his unbanned.) :/

Once again, another moral debate thread.

Simply, just sent nintendo an email asking to unban your account and that you apologize for what you did. I used to hack for the lulz back on mkwii and when i got the 20102 error code i asked them nicely and i never hacked again.

I do not mind online hackers, it adds some weird fun that you wont find in a normal match, but if you're hacking for the win, then go fuck yourself. I just will say that if got a ban in the past, you should learn from that mistake.

Okay what? I'm not even banned. This is literally on a thread that says ''Hacking and Homebrew'' We are all hacking so there's possibility we might get banned for using loaddiine and this thread was created for that purpose. Are you guys kidding me!? I'm not even banned. Why did you change the title?! I remember when People work together on moding the wii but now we got kids on this website cussing about hacking being wrong on a hacking thread. I got banned on Wii and unban years ago. Who säid anything about my Wii U being banned?!

This has nothing to do with piracy. They simply said that cheating and ruining other people's experiences online should have consequences. In the form of a permanent ban.
The only reason I mention piracy was because it's usually another topic people believe shouldn't be tolerated because of a morals. I understand there's people who use cheats just to win, but saying all online cheats that affect other players ruin a game is simply not true.

Look at Mario Kart Wii, A game riddled with cheats like timer manipulation, access to every item in the game through different input combinations, and bullet bill speed changers (Not to mention racing during the countdown, but that wasn't around during the haydays of 08). Theoretically, it should have been completely unfair with a hacker in the room and not even remotely fun... And sure, there were a few of those people but predominantly there were hackers who just wanted to shake things up, a lot of races became a lot more chaotic and unpredictable, some of them being nice enough to drop stars for people who wheelie dance with them at the starting line or putting shrooms in front of shortcuts. You'd also had people like MrBean35000vr who had their timer always set to 4:59:99 (The place you finish is not determined when you cross the finish line, rather the game notes the time you finished then compares it to the times everyone else finished to determine placement) to guarantee he finished last and boost everyone's VR gain from the 35000vr, quite noticeably, just as a reward for sticking around.

They changed the name of my topic like why?! It just makes me look bad. This was to help others or give ideas but everyone just turned it into a drama thread. It's really immature it's really not what I came on this site for.

Basically the info is out there, If you want it YOU make it and DON'T share it.

I can see hack devs having something like this to test hacks and exploits

I don't think other people want to spend that time and effort for some mook to ruin their favorite online games.
This is a hacking thread. Loadiine is a hack believe it or not, smash hacking is hack. There's nothing wrong with sharing a hack because that's basically what we are already doing. No reason to hide it?

Can we just close this topic with a nice, clear no, you can't unban yourself?

I never mention cheating? If you're using loadiine or moding your smash that's literally a HACK. And we can get banned for this. You can't just close my topic. You guys are being awfully rude and need to calm down for a bit. Where is this coming from? I'm not banned and I have never ''cheated'' on an online game on Wii U. Can't believe my topic was reported to have a name change like wow. Thank you

i know the answer, for the permaban, we need to wait IOSU, dump a file, wich has the serial key, edit the serial, inject it, and you wil not be permabanned anymore

There surely will be, but it won't be made public.
with IOSU it would actually be pretty easy
