Error Code: 002-0121

This device's access to online services has been restricted by Nintendo.

For help, visit support.nintendo.com.

Would this be considered a console ban? If so, I followed the console banned directions but I still get the same error.
No, unless you just discovered a new console ban.
Usually, console bans display the message either 022-2805 or 022-2815 with the message "Online services cannot be used." Everything else can be used but Miiverse. I doubt you have a console ban anyway, since the first 3 digits are 002, and those refer to online services in general where 022 refers to a Nintendo Network online service.

Well, this worked flawlessly on a friend's 2DS using the latest Luma3DS. Her console was banned for illegal purchases (pretty common where she's from). Now she can log on the eShop again.

I would recommend trying to look up for a broken console serial, and ensure the device is similar to yours: model (2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, n3DS) and region (US, EU, etc.)

Here's some information I found from a Club Nintendo exploit, and have been keeping private for a while: All real serial numbers are divisible by 7. Try it on your own!

Edit: This only works for certain consoles, apparently. Never mind.

What kind of Club Nintendo exploit?
It was called the 'Wii Mini Exploit', where some users on places like 4Chan found that you could guess Wii Mini serial numbers and get 800 coins per account, allowing you to get almost any game for free from their finale sale. I ABUSED that for the month or two that went unpatched, getting a me a ton of Wii U and 3DS games free. And now we have piracy to do that for us.

Anyways, to guess the Wii Mini codes, you had to type in random SNs until one worked, and then add 7 to it repeatedly until you added the max amount of Wii Minis to your account. It was fun.

I pwned U!

You could not get 3ds or wii u games on the european version of club nintendo and they used stars instead of coins
all that had was wii and ds points and some pikmin keyrings and some wii u dlc

In America, we never had any points, just games and physical stuff. So at least you had that.

For the 3DS? Tried six, and three weren't divisible by 7. All legit numbers.
Weird, it suddenly doesn't work for my O3DS now. It still works for my 2DS, but not my old one. I guess it's only certain consoles, considering that the Wii Mini was the only thing this was tested for before I tried it. Well, 3/6 is still better than 1/7.

I'll update the post.

Did you try the method on the thread

Fun times. I did it slightly different however.
And now I have 46 My Nintendo bonus points codes.

Thanks to GBATemp User I pwned U! for this method. His original tutorial is here.

We've discovered the fastest way to get around Nintendo Network ID Bans without formatting or deleting old NNIDs!

A video tutorial by @DarkFlare69 is here. It features everything listed in this tutorial!

You will need a 9.2 3DS and an EmuNAND to do this.
If you're scared about losing games and certain data tied to your NNID, take the precautions here before you start.

For NNID bans:
  1. Download this NNIDSave.bin file. (It's just empty bytes, don't get your jimmies rustled) Put it on the root of your SD Card.
  2. Run Decrypt9.
  3. Go to EmuNAND options and select "Inject nnidsave.bin". If you don't see it on there for whatever reason, download this version. (I'd highly recommend you backup your NNIDSave first if you want to use the eShop later.)
  4. Enter the button presses as instructed.
  5. Press A to inject the file.
  6. Boot EmuNAND and create a new NNID. Have fun! ;)
For NNID + console bans:
  1. Launch Decrypt9.
  2. Extract your SecureInfo_A from your emunand.
  3. Shut down your 3DS.
  4. Download the NNIDInfo.bin file linked above. Put it on the root of your SD Card.
  5. Open the SecureInfo_A in a hex editor and replace the ASCII numbers at the bottom with your own. Mine came after "CW".
  6. Put the SD card back into your 3DS.
  7. Inject the modified nnidsave.bin and modified SecureInfo_A into your emuNAND. (I'd highly recommend you backup your NNIDSave first if you want to use the eShop later.)
  8. Boot emuNAND and create a new NNID. Have fun! ;)
If you get a black screen after doing the second method, your CFW doesn't support unsigned SecureInfo_A files! To fix this, either inject the original SecureInfo_A file from your SysNAND or use rxTools with it.

Once you've done this, you can mess around with Miiverse Custom Image Tool or play whatever online games you want. The second method changes your 3DS's ID so you don't have to worry about anything that you were banned from before, so even things not reliant on NNIDs will still work with it. Good luck!

For information on the nnidsave.bin file, look here.
For information on the SecureInfo_A file, look here.

Written that nnidsave file, changed serial number. Didn't work.
I was only banned from one specific game. Everything else work.
Tried making a new emunand last year but that didn't work.

Does this have to be on emunand only? Let's say I have a console with a console ban. I use menuhax to boot CFW in emuNAND which has the injected SecureA info file. Can I get it to do the same on updated SysNAND with A9LH?

Worst case scenario, I can still use an emuNAND in order to inject the file but with the better A9LH to boot, right?

You need to use rxTools or AuReiNand, as they are the only CFWs that I know of that support this signature bypass. As long as you have them running in sysNAND A9LH, you're good, but I would still recommend using emuNAND, because it's just way safer.

Yes. As long as you have arm9loaderhax, it's safe to inject a SecureInfo_A file into your SysNAND.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.
