Will emunand9ui ever be updated to use with a9lh? I use decrypt9ui and it boots no problem but emunand9ui doesn't work. I personally like the terminal looking theme but when I set up a9lh on other peoples 3ds I like to give them ui versions for obvious reasons. Thanks again for this tool btw it's great

When I use my 128GB micro SD card (Formatted as FAT32) Emunand9 won't boot. But if I use my SDHC card it boots fine. Any answers?

SD card failure... it happens more often than one might think. Even if it works well everywhere else, that may be the case. If you're not using A9LH, try booting it multiple times.

I've booted it many times. More times than I've tried memchunkhax2 on 10.3.

Edit: Well Fuck my ass. I tried it one more time and it booted.

New release, with one new major feature, but a good one:
  • Support for FAT32 with 64k clusters, all SD cards >= 16GB are now formatted using 64k clusters.
  • Linux support for creating starter.bin files (thanks @Steveice10 and others)
  • Fully updated starter pack, now contains basically everything required for downgrading / OTP dumping
Large SD cards will benefit from 64k clusters with significantly faster loading times for basically everything (don't expect miracles, though). You will need to format your SD card anew, with EmuNAND9, to get these benefits. Make backups of your Emu & SysNAND, just to be safe.

And I know, a lot of you have been through the whole SD backup / setup / restore shebang at least two times now (RedNAND / A9LH). I did the reformatting (64GB SD card), too, and I think it is worth it. Better invest some time now and not be annoyed by boot times each and every time.

Does sysnand work with 64k and does it benefit from it?
Everything benefits from 64k clusters, this is for the data on the SD card, not for the actual EmuNAND (yup, you also profit if you don't have an EmuNAND). And there are no compatibility issues.

Well what would I have to do to get 64kb cluster size and is it RedNAND compatible or just EmuNAND?

Reformat your SD card (which is bigger or equal 16GB) using EmuNAND9. You may also do the complete setup, if you wish. And this has nothing to do with your EmuNAND, just with how the data area of your SD card is formatted. There also never were or will always be stuff that is only possible with GW type EmuNANDs or RedNANDs (except that CFWs may not support both).

So which option do I choose to format the sd card?

Format SD (no Emunand) as in I don't have emunand?

or Format SD (Emunand default) as in I have emunand on the sd card?

That question you should answer yourself... do you want to use EmuNAND with that card? Answer this, you got your answer.

I chose the first option for sd formating "Format SD (no Emunand)", but now emunand9 is not allowing me to restore my emuand.

1. After formatting the sd card I went ahead and put my emunand backup on my sd root

2. I opened emunand9 and went to emunand manager options ---> restore file to emunand ---> no usable file found restore file to emunand: failed

You formated you´r sd card so that it has no emunand partition.
The other options are for the size of the emunand partition.
