ROM Hack How do I play online with Hans?

I want to play online using hans so I can play and use texture hacks at the same time for Mario Kart 7, but it says I need Version 1.1 of MK7 to play online. So I downloaded it in the eshop, went back to hans, and hans just reverted back to Version 1.0. It keeps doing that, but my real cartridge is 1.1. Help?

You can't play games that requires an update, because hans doesn't support it.

Hans doesn't support detecting updates from sdcard, sadly. In the past I tried modifying romfs of Alpha Saphire replacing the updated files, while it said on menu I had latest version it still detects it as outdated when trying to connect to the internet.

Oh, that stinks! Well thanks for the clearing that up! I've seen people play online with HANS though, but they won't release their method of doing so.

Well, I've seen a tutoriel a long time ago (one week after HANS' release) that showed how to merge update files with the game's romfs to allow online play. It was a little long and not that simple, but I'll put a link to it if I find it.

I think he refers to this, but as I said it didn't worked for me on Alpha Saphire trying to connect to the internet:

Exactly, this is the one... But if this doesn't work, it isn't really useful

I mean, it works and applies the patch to the game, fixes several bugs and stuff, but still won't let me play online. Probably we would need to use the updated header idk
