Hey everyone back with a simple & quick tutorial on how to downgrade your 3DS or New 3DS down to 9.2 even from up to firmware 10.3. I have manage to downgrade my new 3ds using this method 3 times in a row successfully with no soft brick. Watch the tutorial and happy modding!

I have a N3DS with firmware 9.9.0-26E, and i would like to try the downgrade.
I would be more safer if someone (specially who already downgraded his new 3DS) can give me (for MP) the right firmware that i have to install for downgrade.
Can someone do this?

p.s. There is a particular version of sysupdater that i should use ?

The same thing happened to me, I stopped trying and like 5 hours later, I got it second try so don't give up! The currant app is highly unstable and within a few weeks I could see it getting an update

I'm downgrading now. But I had loads of problems to get it even to find the CIA files. Ironhax didn't work and Browserhax didn't work. Menuhax worked fine though! So Menuhax is really recommended.

Thank you! It seems as though rapidly loading and closing ftBRONY before loading sysUpdater did the trick. Before watching your video guide, I neglected this step and sysUpdater constantly froze before initializing the downgrade. I did end up deleting the Nintendo 3DS folder to fix the resulting soft brick. Fortunately, I had enough foresight to backup the SD card before performing the downgrade. As a result, I was able to restore my backup, dbs, and title folder to their appropriate location (restoring the extdata folder caused the soft brick to reoccur).

I do have a few questions.

1. Why does it seem as though rapidly loading and closing ftBRONY before loading sysUpdater prevents the app from freezing?
2. I noticed the second 32 digit alphanumeric folder in my backup (10.1) Nintendo 3DS folder did not match the second 32 digit alphanumeric folder in the "new" (9.2) Nintendo 3DS folder. Why is this?
   Spoiler: example (strings generated by online string generator)

   (10.1) Nintendo 3DS\ed2e2c6a28c6ac29749c28b55c8cbee9\3e29ccdd5b7ba66a323e19440eca56a7 and (9.2) Nintendo 3DS\ed2e2c6a28c6ac29749c28b55c8cbee9\d3d094ca7e7bbacb565923ebc6a05a41

I've just done the downgrade!!!
I have a problem, now. Menuhax doesn't work now, and i have no access to browser because he say that i must upgrade for use the browser...therfore i can't use the browser to launch browserhax.
I don't have cubicninja.
There is a solution for me?

Downgraded smoothly on the first try! Still shaking from the nerves x)
Did it without any previous setup, like formating the 3DS and such.

So is it basically safe to downgrade US N3DS consoles now? Are bricks only caused by user error?

Just run the sysUpdater App from page 95, all CIA files installed well, but ends in softbrick everytime on the end after the rebooting. Also tried to boot without the SD Card. Whats the problem ?

Executed through menuhax 2.1. Also have the right CIA Files. Tried it for 2 times now, but softbrick everytime.

Any advice, what I can try to make it work ?

EDIT : Never mind, got it to work now !

Also one important step is missing in the tutorial that I found out : "There is one important point that is missing in this tutorial and save you alot of time trying to launch sysUpdater without blackscreen or freeze. You HAVE TO ! open the eshop and click you through up to the point, where eshop create some data to your SD. After that, just reboot with L in to menuhax (Homebrewlauncher), run ftBrony, double click B, than start sysUpdater and there you go... first try, every time ! Tried 10 times without the eshop data before and the 3DS got frozen every time."

After that, all worked at first try, no errors after rebooting even with SD card inside.
