ATTENTION N3DS(XL) USERS!

Please don't attempt to downgrade to 9.2 (at least) with the unstable build of sysUpdater, especially if you're even a little unsure about what you are doing.
Downgrading N3DS(XL) is a bit different than downgrading O3DS(XL), you should do additional steps before downgrading your N3DS(XL) if you really want to make sure it will downgrade successfully.
If you already opened the sysUpdater,
it clearly says
WITH RED TEXT to not attempt
downgrading on N3DS(XL) because they
will most probably brick,
as they are not fully tested with and are not made for the sysUpdater version.

edit:
make sure you have the right 9.2 cias for your region. Most who bricked used o3ds files.

It is possible to downgrade them successfully, but currently most of the consoles that got bricked during the downgrade process have been New 3DS and New 3DS XL - consoles, so please take note that the success rate of N3DS(XL) downgrading successfully
is way lower than the O3DS(XL)'s success rate.

If you are on a N3DS(XL) and you downgraded successfully, lucky you, but you should avoid downgrading again, since it's kind of a lottery win for you.

I myself changed my mind a few times about downgrading my O3DS (10.3) to 9.2 (I had problems with HBL on 9.2 and went back to 10.3 so I was able to access HBL),
but then I downgraded back to 9.2 and got HBL working with browserhax,
although the old eshop downloader nor the eshop access worked on HBL
(I have no idea why) even though I used menuhax.... So I can't currently install ironfall/ironhax anymore..
But it worked for me everytime I downgraded, maybe I was just lucky with my Old 3DS XL

But there are plenty of people complaining about bricking their New 3DS (XL) consoles while attempting to downgrade,
maybe check the warnings next time you attempt to modify your expensive console

Same, downgraded a n3ds on 10.1 E, first time, installed emunand injected FBI and it's working flawlessly with rxtools.

Just make sure you have the right 9.2 cias for your region. Most who bricked used o3ds files.

how about FBI method on a N3DS(XL)?
it's not working for me but still trying...
1. Make sure you are installing a legit .cia (most of them are found at that ISO site)
2. Correct version of FBI

and what's wrong with it? Is it not loading? Try to open it on menuhax a few times, worked for me
If you can't install the .cia file, then it's not probably a legit .cia file, so try another one.
(if you are talking about the FBI that works above 9.3)

Yes, also that. My friend tried to downgrade his N3DS with the correct files downloaded from that iso site, but he got stuck on the ''retrying in 10 seconds'' thingy and tried to reboot because it was stuck on it for at least 10 minutes and the 3ds was stuck on a black screen

I may have got lucky - I have a New 3DS XL and managed to downgrade it from 10.3 after a failed attempt to downgrade from 9.5. One recovery boot/upgrade to 10.3 and sysUpdater later and it *seems* to be working fine on 9.2 - can only hope :D

There's a good chance some of the people who bricked their consoles used the wrong CIAs or didn't check the MD5/SHA-1 of them, or had an issue copying files which got corrupted, or had a faulty SD card ... there's a LOT of variables, unfortunately, which increases the chances of something going tits-up.

Ok, i'm wait for a 100% safe.

If she's bricked, not any chance to save it ?

You can always fix these bricks by restoring your NAND backup for which you need a hardmod (that you'd need to do a backup of your updated 3DS anyways).

Besides that in many reported brick cases they were able to recover using recovery mode (aka doing an update via online nintendo servers by holding a button combination on powerup), but in some cases even the tool responsible for this recovery mode was broken. It seems (but is not sure yet) that the recovery mode will only get f'ed up when using the wrong cias (e.g. o3ds for n3ds).

tl;dr: the chance for unrescueable brick (without hardmod) is >0% (edit: thus, from my point of view, it's not safe)

It will never be 100% safe without a hardmod.

To the OP, you're wrong, most people downgraded just fine. The majority of the bricks (on both O3DS and N3DS) are because of user error (people mostly using the wrong files or shutting down when they shouldn't).
Don't take my word for it but I'm pretty sure it's as stable and reliable as it can get(for the downgrade itself).

Or bad RNG like in my case

I have the Julian Sysupdater, and got the good CIA files for 9.2U full N3ds (checked with MD5)
All files pasted at the good spot.

My issued is when I start sysupdater I either get a Black Screen or when I can press Y for downgrade sometime about failed CIA files

happens with both Iron and menuhax

@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
