Guys have you seen this ? (it's not my video just wondering if anyone here has those modificaction files)

Hi there, I only just started experimenting with Hans and am currently a bit clueless. I'm trying to change some of the 2D graphics/textures (specifically, the trainer images that appear at the beginning of battles) and in-game dialogue text of Pokémon X. I've successfully dumped Pokémon X and used ctrtool to decompress the romfs file. But right now everything's just a collection of folders and random files that don't make much sense. How can I tell which files contain the textures I need to change? Here's a screenshot of what I have so far:

Thanks. I've checked the "a" folder, everything is just titled with a single digit, I can't tell which files do what. Is there some way to show what each file does?

Those files are actually garc files. Run them through GARCTool or Ohana3DS, though I'm pretty sure Ohana doesn't recompress the archive.
Ohana does show what files are in most containers, GARCTool can dump many GARCs at once and does so properly.

Where is the OW model for Serena? I thought the XY overworld models were in a/0/2/1, but can't find it in there

There are also some models which don't load properly there, dec_001.154 loads a grey cube "projection_dummy" which doesn't seem correct for a 770kb file.

Can someone help me on how to use this?

On ProjectPokemon it says these are the locations of the files:

OW models = a/0/2/1
In-Battle models = a/1/3/3
Map models = a/0/3/9
Map Textures = a/0/1/4


So what I'm doing is using GARCtool to extract these, which generate a lot of .bin files, then I don't know what to do with those.

I'm using Ohana Rebirth (as the normal Ohana displays an exceptions as soon as you launch it)

Looks like the reason Ohana doesn't work for me is that I don't have .NET installed (I though it was!). Will install it and try again.

Edit: Oh well, actually was already installed! I don't know why it's not working then.

This is the error:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.DirectX, Version=1.0.2902.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

And yes, I already have DirectX installed.

Edit 2: Solved. The problem was that Windows 10 doesn't include the older DirectX.

lmao looka like the 10.2 peeps got their first steps into rom hacking, TFW I still rom hack with both my 4.2 and 9.2 kek. I have tried HANS on my 10.2 it's fun to mess around with I guess

A quick mod to add Elsa and Anna as characters in Pokémon X/Y. Inspired by this picture I saw a while ago. Not sure who the original artist is, but I'd like to credit them for using their artwork in my mod. Also, currently working on editing their party to exclusively have Ice-type Pokémon in a double battle using Pk3DS.
