Earlier today Serebii.net reported that images from the Japanese magazine "CoroCoro" have been leaked and we can see the new forms of the legendary Pokemon Zygarde from Pokemon X and Y. Taken straight from serebii.net, they have this to say:

The first images from CoroCoro have leaked and have revealed some further details about Zygarde. Zygarde can take many forms. Normal Zygarde is at 50% and is called Zygarde 50% Forme. The dog like form is when it is at 10% and is called Zygarde 10% Forme. It has sharp teeth and speed. The blob is the cell, or Zygarde Core and becomes the brain of every form. The flat form is called Zygarde Cell. New large form is called Zygarde Perfect Forme and retains its Dragon/Ground-type. It is the Order Pokémon and is 4.5m tall and 610kg and is said to exceed Xerneas and Yveltal in power. The new Anime series called Pokémon XY & Z is to come with Mega Evolution Act 4 starting on October 29th. It also reveals a new look for Greninja, labelling it "Ash Greninja". The magazine mentions that it looks sort of like Ash's clothes

While it's cool that Zygarde is being given new forms, I bolded what I believe may be bigger news. The new Anime series is going to be called Pokémon XY & Z. Any fan would know that Pokémon X and Y have been out for a while now, with many fans anxiously waiting for the logical 'Z' compilation. It makes sense after all. Gold and Silver had Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire had Emerald, Diamond and Pearl had Platinum, and Black and White had Black 2 and White 2. I believe that very soon we may hear an announcement of a new Pokemon Z game that combines X and Y, with every mega evolution from generation 6 available.

Since Perfect Zygarde retains its Dragon/Ground typing, I assume it will have an ability that makes it able hit Fairy and Flying types supereffectively with the stab moves.

I'm curious about its BST, because so far Rayquaza has the highest BST, along with the Mega Mewtwos. I would think it will be at least 770, over Arceus, equal to Groudon and Kyogre in their primal forms. At the same time, they should give Xerneas and Yveltal a fair bone. Specific hold items, kind of like their own brand of Soul Dew.

Meh, I'd rather play a good remake of Emerald.

I still remember how the BP code for the gameshark ended up (accidentally) helping me nearly complete the 'dex on a single cartridge. That if anything is the only reason I ever bothered with the post-game.

I'd rather play a remake of Diamond and Pearl. I loved gen 4.

Gen 4 nearly destroyed what remaining interest I had in Pokemon at the time.

I had (falsely) believed that with Gen 3 they were finally doing away with all the real-time clock-based bullshit that angered me so much with Gen 2, only for it to come back with a vengeance in 4. I hated the story in 4 more than I did in 5, and that's saying a lot. I hated the absurd amount of "oh but you must" tropes that were abused in Gen4's main game.

But as a coder, what I couldn't stand beyond belief with Gen 4 was the rage-inducing processing (or loading) lag that Gen 4 brought about and has never been quite fixed since. Generation 3 on the GBA was about as close to responding at the speed of thought that one could hope for. And in my own personal testing on real hardware, I found that Gen4 even with animations turned off was much slower than Gen 3 with animations on. That makes no sense. I would say Gen VI mostly fixed that, only to then re-introduce lag in another form by automatically losing frame-rate just for enabling the 3D on a 3DS system. Considering Game Freak would have been granted access to the 3DS SDK longer than literally even Nintendo internally, expecting a 3DS generation pokemon game, that is unacceptable to me. And even more unacceptable when it should be something they could address in a patch but refuse to. It's especially sad in gen 4 because even if you have a critter that is OP for the segment, and could be one-hit KO'd, Gen 4 was especially guilty of taking so long to load every single battle, that you could have finished the battle in a Gen 3 game before you'd be able to actually select the killing move in the Gen 4 game.

I would rather have a new gen, or a sequel to X and Y rather than the inevitable third version. I'm pretty much done with Gen 6 so I doubt I will beat Z, but I'll certainly try it out.

There were still framerate problems in a lot of battles even with the 3d turned off.
I haven't been a big fan of any of the 6th gen pokemon games so far. They've all been kind of disappointing to me.

I still feel pokemon B2/W2 are the best pokemon games so far. They have so many more things to do compared to the "new and improved" games. I wouldn't mind waiting next fall for the next main series games if gamefreak can finally use this time to fix the framerate problems and add more post-game content. Every 3ds game so far feels "rushed". Pokemon mystery dungeon super should tide me over in the mean time.

Oh man oh man, I need to disagree. As someone who wants to catch them all without trading with other people (therefore giving them all my trainer ID) I would love to get both legends in one game!

Zygarde is the Z Pokémon, it is a green dragon that can be summoned from a ball.
It has a form called Zygarde Cell and a bipedal Perfect Forme. By the way did I mention Zygarde is light green?

Nintendo is really going all out on the DBZ references.

If you take this at face value, than Zygarde formes should naturally be dog, snake, and human.
And the cell is the common factor between all 3.

Considering XY has a Norse theme with its legendaries, It makes sense.

And knowing this makes me love these forms as well. XD

Because Pokemon Z wasn't announced yet, but hinted at. So it was like "Z?" It's done in a lot of articles that include speculation or TV episodes (mainly anime from what I've seen) where the title explains a shocking point in the episode. For example, the second episode of Dragon Ball Super is titled "Onward to the Promised Resort! Vegeta Goes on a Family Trip?" It's shocking that Vegeta would do that so even the title was like "whaat?"

Hope that makes sense...
