Will there be a Ninjhax launch option?

Why would there be?
That's completely out of the scope of the project. Ninjhax doesn't even need arm9 kernel mode.
There's one thing I'd like: A .cia version of the homebrew launcher.

just wanna ask. i see most cfw use top screen as main screen. is it possible to use bottom screen as main screen and top screen for banner?.

Have you even booted it? I was too lazy to disable the debugging messages. They're drawn on the bottom screen.
It's just that the top screen has a lot more space, and it's the first screen you'll be looking at.

I'm on 9.2 and don't want to downgrade for MSET but I'd like to have a comfortable option to launch a CFW offline to access emunand.

You'd be able to install an unsigned Cubic Ninja to your SysNAND and boot that to load Ninjhax, which can then be used to boot whatever CFW you'd like.

Not sure what's the highest firmware version ninjhax supports, but let's say that it's 9.2. I do have the offsets/patches for 9.2 firm, but I'd rather not support two different firms for an edge case. Also he mentions wanting to do it offline, that's totally outside of the scope. Maybe someone (who's not as lazy as me) will roll out an android app that can load Cakes.dat.

The best thing is that we now have an Open Source alternative that can be mantained in case Roxas doesn't care enough to continue developing rxTools now. Hopefully Pasta gets emunand soon as well. Also can't wait for 9.x MSET.

While I don't use Roxas work (I have a N3ds) nor do I appreciate his(her? I have no clue if it's a guy or girl) AP shenanigans, I know he does care but he's been rather busy with crapola.

Say... Now I'm wondering. If I have a Gateway and I'm loading Emunand using the MSET method, can I load this (when it's made for N3ds) or Pasta using their respective MSET hacks? As far as I know Gateway allowed us to downgrade n3ds mset back to 4.X right?

As long as the cakes can be ported to n3ds, I'd say yes.

There is much problems for devs. I hope you can fix your makefile oneday. Also there is potential problems in the names.
Go to see the forks on github, and find me. I've tried to fix it a bit.
1. Make sure the FIL handle is closed before leave, and show the FRESULT instead of just 1 or 0. 0 is FR_OK.
2. Tried to set a byte for boot-option in "0:cakefw.config". This would be used if you do not hold one key when entering.
I don't have my console at hand. Maybe you could build it again and test it out, and first - review it please.
I won't make a pull this time, you can cherrypick it from the branch to yours.
BTW: Codebase is a little awful. I thought you could take a look at pasta's cfw_loader part - which is already written in a better way.

--Deleted some questions about why start a similar open-sourced fw.--
Now i would quickly back to sleep. Hope this could proceed more. Ezzz.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
