I heard the reason its not block is because it uses a real game cart information.
So if they block ot they also block that real game.

How nice would that be to pop in your real game and find out you cant play it because its been block due to some flash cart you never hear of

so sky can work on the latest n3ds xl firmware without downgrading, like the old flashcarts? do you need to install anything to make it work? does the cart make the games region free too? i might get this it depends.

dont have to install anything to work. sky3ds doesn't support free region, but something else does and sky3ds can use that

This is false on so many levels, once again because it doesn't respond to certain commands normal carts do, and also because it does respond to some commands which a normal cart never replies to. And all you need is one verified and incorrect response to detect it as a sky cart. The diagnostic tests test the entire SPI memory, among other things. All you need is a single reply to a SPI command to invalidate the cart, which doesn't take long.

so nintendo should hire you then, they should pay you about 1 mil $/year. Why they don't think about that, stupid nintendo.

I was coming to say something similar, but you explained it much better.

I remember when it wad being discussed on 3dsdev.

Yes Sky3DS may have survived a lot of updates (and maybe some more or all), but that doesn't mean it's the greatest flashcard.

In fact it is the most user unfriendly flashcard I have ever seen on any console imho, however, it is your only choice on newer firmwares

But the thing is Nintendo didn't implement it...........yet. So we have sky3ds fanboys raving about it and more SOON comments to follow about GW. So again, to me, its almost a troll until that one line code gets implemented into the firmware.

I will be surprised if the flashcart turns out to never be blocked, saying its impossible to detect is just nonsence.

Maybe theres no smooth solution at the moment, certainly not a simple "line of code".

ps: i have one.

Personally I think the one more reason is Nintendo probably want to let sky3ds attract more people to buy their new 3ds devices , as you see, if no hacked new 3ds on higher versions , people may lost motivation to buy new 3ds.
