So, the function that needs to be patched isn't necessarily NetUpdateSOAP, but CheckSysupdateAvailableSOAP.
NetUpdateSOAP is the URL that CheckSysupdateAvailableSOAP uses.

We thinked that spoofing eShop would be as simple as patching NIM. NO!
You will have the fantastic error : 007-2999
Because you need the latest eShop version.
And you know what? The latest version require 9.6 NATIVE_FIRM.
So, in a nutshell : it won't work. This is the end. Thanks for playing!
Just spoof the eShop version and install an old one?
Never fear, 3DNUS is here! cant we just install the 9.6 Eshop? does 3DNUS have 9.6 titles? can 9.2 and below open that? maybe with gateway firmware spoofing? It's OVER!

hold on, is this for people who need emunand 9.6 or people without gateway but want to saty on 9.2 or something. because if its an emunand problem, we have CIA's, if its a sysNAND problem then you most likely need a CFW or gateway anyway. and its an antipiracy solution to people using CFW, then i guess well need to keep workingI answered just before you post.

You know more than me, but the error code you listed looks like it's a connection issue, not the result of an outdated eShop.

I don't understand the correlation between a bad download and an outdated eShop. They seem completely unrelated. The error is a bad download. So it can applies perfectly well to eShop.
But that's just it: error 002-0102 is listed as a connectivity error. That's the generic "catch-all" explanation Nintendo's website provides for errors about which it has no specific information. Error 005-5958 is the same way. If you actually call Nintendo's support about these errors, they'll tell you they have no entries for them in their databases. And, you know, 002-0102 is referenced as a connectivity issue on Nintendo website, and we all know that's not the case.

Error 007-2999, however, is an actual error code with a specific meaning.
