Making a new Webkit exploit is trivial, we just need the time to do it. Wait a week or two, it'll probably be out by then.

if u need an exploit tester on 5.3.2E (not sure if kernel acces is possible but also userland) count me in and write me a pm. i ll give u feedback then

Gotcha. Assuming you plan to port it(I hope you do), will you be doing a simultaneous release for all versions? Or are you going to release the whole package up to 5.0.0 then work on 5.0.1 and so on after?

Isn't Hykem working on an exploit that can do just that?

Back porting up to 5.0.0 will use the same bug (assuming it's reachable on all previous firmwares), so it makes sense to release all that first. Then we'll just write a new separate exploit for 5.1.1 and higher. The best part of this is that I will be able to keep my unit on a low firmware version, since Nintendo rarely updates the WebKit's core.

Regarding the backup loading and all that, yes, an IOSU exploit will allow all of that, but we're more concerned on publishing a working kernel exploit for homebrew purposes. What happens next is still being debated, since no one obviously wants to support piracy.

Sounds good to me, I don't mind waiting a little. Yes, I of course mean to utilize the exploit for homebrew purposes only. (I actually want to try coding some.)

Will the Wii U exploit lead to further vWii exploits. i.e showing the vWii how to access the Wii U Gamepad.

I'm hoping that a Wii U exploit may lead to the end user not having to actually hack the Wii U, but just using hacked vWii ioses.

Hope that makes sense.

Only thing that'll do that is an IOSU exploit, the kernel exploit doesn't have enough access.

You can't just reverse engineer the communications in Wii U mode and write a cIOS for vWii? (I know that's a lot more complex than I make it sound, and I have very little coding knowledge, but I'm just kind of farting out ideas that may or may not be helpful)

If you wanna do it that way it might be possible, but if you're trying to do it specifically through cafe2wii, then you'll need IOSU because it's a Starbuck binary.

Just block your Wii U's MAC address from WAN on your router or setup your own proxy. No need to spin up your own DNS.

Also, I will release this soon. djbubba2002 has been messing around with web development so I asked him if he could host the files so people can just navigate to the URL as opposed to spinning up their own web server.

Also, this has only been tested on 5.0. djbubba2002 told me that it doesn't work on 4.1. This could very well be due to changes in the library functions I'm importing but IDK.
