I'm not a kid but still...As i said i was just testing..My bad...Screwed up my 3ds xl...Good think is i can still restore it with this mod ^^

No I am not saying you are a kid.. I am just referring to those that do not wish to learn/just want to plug and play.. Although you did some small mistake here, I am sure you will be more careful next time which is good, and find out the what is so amazing with Gateway compared to the other flashcards..

Edit: Undeniably Sky provide more friendly interface, but lack of more important features.

Try restart many times which it will be back to life. (Remove Gateway Card or any kind of retail game, remove SD of 3DS and try and re-insert and try).

Well, thank goodness you took your 4.5 NAND backup.
As I mentioned to you via phone, I have a dead 3DS XL. The customer bricked it somehow (black screen) when tinkering with GW and guess what, no NAND backup. So, unless someone smart enough figure out how we could create a NAND from scratch, the 3ds will remain dead :/

New 3DS firmware with Theme feature need more time on first boot.
I've got black screens on my untouched, unmoded 3dsXL. Damn. I removed SD card, boot 3ds took sth ab 2 min. 3DS off, SD to the console and this time boot took couple seconds.
So my suggestions is to remove SD card and try to boot 3ds.

And that's why she's a 50 year old lesbian with a bricked 3DS ;)

Joke aside, it should be common knowledge that you restore your sysnand to your sysnand and emunand to your emunand. I mean yeah you could try to tinker with emunand no problems there cause it's on the SD and you can always format it again, but experimenting with sysnand without a hard mod - that's just plain stupid, no offense.

No, it is not a 1:1 copy.. Emunand was already modded so that you can load your custom backups, cias...
Seriously, you should not assume things... This is why Gateway warned user that flashing is a dangerous operation.. You need to be 100% clear what you are doing..

i'm pretty sure the patches are at run time, and not actually applied to the files themselves

yeah emunand 4.x-7.x seem to be flash-able to sysnand no problem.....idk why 8.x-9.x don't when flashed to sysnand.....but they don't.....i suppose we could update to 9.4 in sysnand, and 9.4 in emunand, then dump them both and decrypt them and see if anything really had been modded (ps only really doable by someone with a hardmod ofc)

but yeah i tried it a good while back and flashing 9.x emunand to sysnand just resulted in a black screen brick....i have no idea why some people said it works for them, both me and hundshamer tested it and it just resulted in a brick....yeah 4.x-7.x emunand to sysnand is fine

same goes for updating sysnand in gateway mode while not having emunand set up 4.x-7.x = fine 8.1-9.x = brick

Can you use GW's dg pack to do this?

maybe this has to do with the broken signatures that gateway patched when implementing 8.x+ emunand

no, if there is no nand backup from the console at all, i would say the chances of ever getting it into a working state, are slim to none....unless some sort of secret factory mode flashing is found....but idk, doesnt seem likely

idk, but whatever it is, sysnand 8.x-9.x flashed to emunand fine, so idk if there was any real reason for it to be patched....maybe its down to the big delay that usually happens first time you boot up 8.x-9.x....maybe they apply some sort of patch to speed things up after the first boot

Great game. But I'd buy it straight up before paying for prime. Unless you order something everyday from amazon, not worth it imo
